Apologizing For Being A Pig Gets Big Ratings!

Though David Letterman can't say the same for his life, his show is doing very well!
The ratings for last night's showing of The Late Show, in which he apologized to his staff, his wife, and the world for being sleazy, grabbed him the top spot of the night, beating out Dateline and The Tonight Show.
The Late Show got itself a whooping 4.2 million viewers in household ratings.
So take note other late night talk show hosts: You want good ratings? Break out the scandal!

And I know things get sensationalized and things always read worse in print, then if they were actual words being spoken person to person. But your disdain for things, your hatred, drawing dicks on people's faces, cum stains, saying nasty things about kids such as Miley (who may be famous, may be a bit older then they should be) are still kids. Everybody wants fame to one degree or another, but you confuse gossip with whatever it is you do. You are nasty and utterly useless on the whole. I'm sure you play it up alot, and it's easy to do when you're getting attacked, sort of a defense mechanism. But this is the sort of thing that will only shorten your already fleeting career.

Oh please get this through your heads, he has stated he was not married at the time, and nobody has come forward to contradict this thus far. Even if he was married at the time, and being in a long term relationship is the equivalent in my mind, we don't know the status of that relationship at that time or even the parameters of that relationship (yes there are open marriages/relationships). His words last night indicate the Ms is angry so he very well may have violated the trust of their relationship. On the topic of his wife, people need to stop commenting on her and calling her a DOORMAT. That is ignorant. If anything she would be the wronged party here. But it is her decision to forgive him or not and if she chooses to forgive him she need not explain her reasons to anyone. They may be as simple as she loves him. Or she wants to work at the marriage with Dave for the sake of her son.
There's only one pig out there in mainstream media and that's you. He had sex. Happens every day. It's a part of life. Get over it.

Actually, he didn't apologize. Listen to him again. Steve Martin even reiterated it on the View this morning. He said he hurt his wife and he had his work cut out for him, that's it. I'm sure he kept his apologizing where it belonged…to her in the privacy of their home.
