They showed the first 30 minutes at D23 and it was awesome. The first musical number has Oscar written all over it. This movie will be huge.
No interest in seeing the Neck-Swinging Princess. Couldn't stomach her "accent" and ghetto mannerisms in the preview.
I've seen the previews a couple of times, and it looks cute. More promising than a lot of the stuff they've put out over the past ten years. I was dreading a new princess movie, since the original princesses are such classics- and it's hard to make a new classic. But I think this one might be ok.

Some ignorant people are saying they're still racist because her prince is from some made-up country, not in Africa. And they're wrongfully stating that the man who does the voice is white- he's actually Brazillian. Personally I think it's more progressive to show a positive, fairy-tale romance of an interracial relationship! Who says the black princess *has to* be with a black prince? That doesn't seem fair to me.

This movie looks like crap!! It will never live up to Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and the Beast, and Beauty and the Beast!!! Oh and I read in the comments, people are upset b/c the prince isn't from Africa. How dumb!! ALl of the movies are in fictional places!!

i like the setting too, i went a few years back before katrina to stay with my family and new orleans is such a beautiful place and i s film could help its tourism and economy, most people here in the uk dont know anything about it but its such a unique place

Hi, Believe it or not I own every Disney and Pixar movie ever made. I am very proud of my collection. At Christmas my whole house is Disney collectibles and annimated figures. However, I don't think I will go see this movie. It just doesn't look like or have the same beauty as the others. I will buy it for my collection, but it is just not the same type of art work or coloring, effect etc. I am sorry. That's just how I feel. I have seen every one, I own every one and this is not even close in quality. Disney has lost it's original magic.
