DAVE WAS NOT A MARRIED MAN NOR WERE THE LADIES,,,,,GET OVER IT!

    2. 2

What? Mario, this is your dumbest survey yet

    3. 3

I think this is a family affair. No one else looses their jobs for sexual exploits. Why should he because he is a tv host in the media? Don't make him a martyr

    4. 4

I still can't figure out, whats the problem!!!!!!!!!LMAo

    5. 5

wtf no! this is going to get him rating galore hes everywhere! who cares what he did. its between him and his wife, and its not like he raped the girl she said yes to it

    6. 6

      Fire him??? NO

He wasn't married at the time and the chicks were consenting adults.

    7. 7

can we all just move on now???

    8. 8

CBS can cancel the show - but cannot fire Letterman as he is employed by World Wide Pants, his own production company.
Since there have been no complaints by female staffers - he did not break any guidelines or protocol, professionally speaking.
He was not bound by CBS's disclosure clause.
His actions may have been morally bereft - but did not break professional policy.

    9. 9

Dave is funny! I don't understand why the public has to get so wrapped on up in celebrities personal lives. It happens to normal people all the time, why is it so hard when a it happens with a celebrity. I don't think what he did was right, but it isn't our business and i'm not going to stop being a fan because of this.

    10. 10

I never liked him, he always seemed to hate his celeb guests for some reason.

    11. 11

      First

    12. 12

      get over it… things happen.

    13. 13

I do think that there should be some consequences but if these "escapeds" were consensual then noone has any right to do anything about it. If he didn't do it on company time-(i might have watched his show more if I saw him doing that on there) then there really is no issue with his job. However I will say that I don't know the policy of fraternization at the company so he may still be in hot water over that. If there is a policy then he knew better and he should accept the consequences and get over it!

    14. 14

Don't fire him. People sleep around all the time. Consensual is consensual… if anything, the scandal got them some ratings.

    15. 15

CBS doesn't own the show. Do research!

    16. 16

Well, since he doesn't work for CBS, no they shouldn't. Because then he'd sue them. Check your facts, fool. Dave works for Worldwide Pants. And he didn't violate any of their company policies. It's up to them.

    17. 17

No. He should not be fired. How idiotic for someone to think that he should.

    18. 18

Gap toothed asshole! Fire him for ANY reason, just so he's gone from television forever!!!!! He may not have been married, but he WAS in a relationship, so he's still a lying creepy perv!!

    19. 19

      Re: Canadiana* – fucking right……..:o)

    20. 20

NO WAY!!! Letterman is such a great guy on TV! The women always had the right to say NO, didn't they?

    21. 21

Re: psychobombshell – Worldwide Pants…hahahahaha…if the shoe fits! hahahaha! Hes an asshole.

    22. Harv says – reply to this

      22

Letterman doesn't work for CBS, the show is produced under Letterman's own production company and sold to CBS.

    23. 23

If he were anybody else, he'd be fired by now

    24. 24

Oh c´mon Mario! Stop being so hyporite. Sometimes you sound like an old conservative bitch.

    25. 25

Think objectively. At any normal company this would get the guy terminated. The potential sexual harrasement suits are too obvious for some to see. Rather than think with your liberal minded hollywood dicks, you need to think like an adult who owns a business and wants to make a profit, not payout cival lawsuit claims. Think and act like men, not teenage boys who are getting laid for the first time!

    26. 26

HONESTLY PEOPLE ARE TAKING THIS SITUATION WAY TO SERIOUS …
BIG DEAL HE BONED A CO WORKER ..WHO HASNT LMAO, NO BUT SERIOUSLY HE CAME OUT ON LIVE TV STATED WHAT HAPPENED AND THAT WAS THAT LETS LEAVE IT AT THAT.
LIGHTER NOTE..LETS HEAR IT FOR GAGAS CRAZY ASS!

    27. 27

Last night Daves monologue was the funniest I have EVER heard on late night TV. Good for you Dave.

    28. 28

we are all human, he was not married, he could do whatever the fuck he wanted. it's just sex ppl! we're all doing it. except perez maybe..

    29. LCFB says – reply to this

      29

I say should Mario be fired for posting underage photos of Demi Moore's daughter?

    30. LCFB says – reply to this

      30

All the women in my workplace are dogs. Mario can't be fired. too bad.

    31. 31

UH NO THE RATINGS WILL SKY ROCKET BCUS OF THIS. CBS WILL BE DUMB TO FIRE HIM.

    32. 32

No they shouldn't. But they should explain to me why he is still on the air when he hasn't been funny in years. Same for Leno.

    33. 33

I always had a feeling he was cheating on his then long time gf/now wife. Dave stopped being funny a loooooooooooong time ago…he just needs to retire already.

    34. 34

      youre overreacting about this

    35. 35

Howard Stern would never be caught with his "pants down"

    36. 36

At the crap hole I work it is against company policy for managers/bosses to have relations with employees they manage. Both people would get fired if this happened. I don't see why this should be any different. I had always wondered why "Monty" was on the show so frequently considering she isn't funny at all. She was screwing the boss. It all makes perfect sense now.

    37. 37

stop it Perez…..who cares about this…why should he have to lose his job? He isn't an elected official….he never preached "family values". Get over it!

    38. 38

I can't stand Letterman. And, how do you know he wasn't married when this occurred? You liberals will find any excuse to excuse bad behavior. Just like you all think the rapist Polanski should be able to walk away. You guys are the biggest hypocrites. You claim to care about women, but you really don't.

    39. 39

He was not married at the time and the women involved were not minors. I think moving forward he should not speak on it anymore and settle with his wife since it did involve cheating on her while they were dating.Even she can get beyond it or not and do what she has to do……Dave should get back to telling jokes and leave his personal life out of the show.As far as telling jokes that involve cheating political figures can continue as he not a political figure and they should be held to a higher standard.

    40. 40

Dave is hired by WorldWide Pants not CBS. Thet can't fire him.

    41. 41

Question is worded improperly. It has nothing to do with marital status. He is an employer.

Should David Letterman be fired for sexual harassment?

He engaged in quid pro quo and hostile environment. Anyone else would be fired. But again, these idiots who call themselves fans are enablers to deplorable behaviors as long as it isn't them who is impacted.

    42. 42

I applaud his braveness for coming out and admitting it to the world. Fair dues to him. He is already in for a rough time with his family now that its out and that is enough punishment. I'm just glad he beat that extortionist pig to the punch.

ps. this is coming from a non-david letterman fan

    43. 43

this is so retarded. its no ones business but the people involved. perez stop fuelling this idiocy.

    44. 44

I don't know why you are on such an anti-Dave campaign but you need to stop. You are embarrassing yourself. He was not married nor had children. The women were single. The person who is in the wrong here is the jerk who tried to blackmail and extort $2,000,000 from Dave. Dave was the victim. On a final note, I have the feeling that if Dave had been having sexual relations with another man, you would be jumping up and down for joy and thinking it was just wonderful.

    45. 45

So are we setting a new precedent where SINGLE men are no longer allowed to date and have sex??!?! WTF? I am so confused over this Letterman scandal! BTW, You are judging Letterman for his lifestyle of being a single man who has had sex in the past but you don't want anyone to judge your sexual lifestyle… o.k…. hypocrite much?

    46. Paty says – reply to this

      46

Well, no one said that he forced them to have sex with him.
Do you reallu think he is the only one?

    47. 47

The man had sex! That's been going on for how long? Since the beginning of time…thought so! He shouldn't be fired! Don Imus spewed "hate" on his show with the choice comment he made, and he got to pick up and move on with his career! Dave hasn't said or did anything to offend me. So let him keep his job!

    48. 48

We didn't fire our President and his cheating was accomplished while he was married and in office! He was unmarried, the women were of age and none have come forward to say if they didn't sleep with him they felt their jobs in jeapordy. Kudos for Dave for taking the bull by the horns and not giving in to blackmail.

    49. 49

A ton of chicks have slept their way to the top. Big deal!

    50. 50

What an old perv, sexually harass women who work for him. I hope those women come out and reveal Letterman as the creepy old fart that he is!

    51. jham says – reply to this

      51

Oh come on - now THIS is why Americans get a bad reputation. As long as these were acts between consenting adults, I couldn't care less. What happens to D.L. is between D.L. and CBS; DL and his wife; DL and the individuals involved. There is absolutely no public component to this matter whatsoever. I'm not a fan of late night in general, but if I watched DL, this nonsense wouldn't make me stop watching. This is just silly.

    52. VEE86 says – reply to this

      52

No, I don't think he should be fired. As long as there was two consiting adults then whats the problem. The issue is not that he had relations with these women how every many there where. The issue is that someone tried to blackmail him in regards to this matter which is illegal.

    53. 53

Dave Letterman is an angry, nasty old man.

    54. Laury says – reply to this

      54

The only reason they should fire him is if he RAPED the women, which I'm pretty sure he didn't.

    55. 55

I agree that you should just leave it alone. Quite frankly, I don't think he owed any of us an apology. His wife, and son yes, but the world? No. Sadly, nothing is sacred anymore, and this happens EVERYDAY. He didn't sit down in front of an audience and lie, or pay a hooker, or try to buy his way out of this. Leave him alone.
Also: There is a HUGE difference between the words "Lose" and " Loose".

    56. 56

Re: Steph22 – Totally agreed! Bill Clinton got let off easy, and he even lied to our country on National Television. People still adore him, even though he has no family values. That is someone who deserved to lose his job. John Edwards too. What he did was unspeakable. He had an affair AND fathered a child while his wife is suffering from breast cancer. THEN HE DENIED IT. These men are supposed to represent our country, and instead they make us look even worse. Letterman hosts a late night show, tells jokes, and makes us laugh. I don't really care what he does, and neither should you.

    57. 57

NO ! No no no no ! Absolutely not.

    58. 58

So its ok because he is famous and TV to get away with this. If a boss at my work did this he'd be sacked, like most bosses in any law abiding company would for sexual discrimination, especially if she was receving favours in return. i.e. many tv appearances and acceleration in her job.

oh wait. no. its fine because "he's funny" and on on tv.

      Well done morons

    59. 59

Why does everyone think that famous people deserve to get away with what the rest of us would get fired for?! Whether or not he was married is NOT what matters; that's between he and his wife. However, a boss sleeping with co-workers, especially in return for favors, would get most people fired and why should he be any different?

    60. 60

jebus christ, this is so overblown. So what! it was all consensual, no one was fired over it, who care! it's between him and his GF.

He's a good host, he's funny and he's bringing in the ratings.

    61. 61

Holy shit! people are saying the only way he should be fired is if he raped or something! ARE YOU CRAZY!? He had repeated sexual indiscretions with female staffers.

      REPEAT
      REPEAT
      REPEAT

shows how much we value our women and the messages we send to them. Oh its ok if your on TV to molest people

    62. 62

Re: mattiboi – Pretty sure that these women wanted to have sex with Letterman, and that he didn't molest them. I am a female, and I'm not offended by what he did. Why? Because those women knew exactly what they were getting into, and what the consequences would be. So I don't think anyone is sending any mixed messages out about this. Adultery is everywhere…it's a sad but true fact.

    63. Kidy says – reply to this

      63

OOOOOH Please!!! This happens in every work place of the world. Doesn't mean it's okay. But why should the rest of the world judge him. It's his personal life and it's up to his wife to forgive him for the last affair.

    64. 64

He's not even a CBS employee… you get all your facts wrong

    65. 65

I doubt he broke any contractual agreements. He's NOT employed by CBS. He can't be fired, so why ask?

    66. 66

Re: kissmyassobama – You honestly believe he should be fired for cheating? Should that apply to everyone who has a job and cheats in their (private and personal) life? It would result in a lot of unemployed folk! Did you hate Kennedy as well? Or Clinton? People cheat.. deal with it. It's not a reason to fire someone..

    67. 67

And like others have said, these women weren't forced into anything. Free will. If they disliked it or felt they were mistreated in any way they should've pressed charges. But they didn't, so let it go already. The man had affairs, who doesn't these days…

    68. 68

I thought it was the law. Having sex with a subordinate will usually get you kicked out the door. Guess it's different if you're on TV.

    69. ANGRY says – reply to this

      69

Are you some sort of Taliban?

    70. 70

hes not getting fired at least he was man enough to admit it i think its a shame how he hurt his family but people make mistakes

    71. 71

its not that he was in a relationship, or that "he just had sex", or he was single… or whatever.
its the fact that HE HAD SEX WITH EMPLOYEES!!
any professional institution would fire both parties involved.
or any work environment for that matter.
when i worked at chilis (chilis for gods sake!) the manager was fired for sleeping with a server. come on…

Letterman has handled this unexpected burp of a fallout with extreme grace. It's not what happens to you, but how you deal with it. I give Dave an A+ for the manner in which he has stood up and owned up under trying circumstances. I wasn't sure about him before, but he has shown true character with the nature of his sincere apology to his wife. Well done.

      74

Well its a good think these decisions are not made by mob rules mentality. I'll, and probably CBS, will also let the ratings do the talking. Frankly we did not even take any action against President Clinton for having sex with an intern. He was impeached for
committing perjury about the relationship and even then the Senate found him not guilty. Dave should not be fired until an employee comes forward to complain (which may be inevitable) and even then disciplinary action should come first.

    75. ap076 says – reply to this

      75

Quick get you comments in before "David Letterman": Staff Fucker finishes her cask of Rum and starts her rambling ways, the dried up old bitch.

    76. 76

      Why would Dave be fired?
So far, I have read nothing about policies or laws he has broken.
Good God, if people got fired for cheating on someone, the workforce would be reduced to 10 people .. TOTAL

    77. 77

You people should be shamed of yourselves. If it was anyone else, you would not condone it. Why the selective infidelity support?

      YOU DO NOT FUCK EMPLOYEES!!!!!!!

      78

Re: pollopicu – Half of America f*cks employees, employers, co-workers. Most of my friends met their spouses that way. The trouble comes when someone wields undue power over another, but all I've heard in the media is how dang nice he is. No one seems to be complaining. America is so hung up about nookie that I swear half of them aren't getting any. Before you go off on me about senior employees doing junior employees, I am fully aware of the issues. If someone makes a pass at you and you feel uncomfortable, say so and walk away.

    79. 79

Do you know how much money CBS makes, as a result of Letterman? A shitload. He's done nothing wrong Idiotttt. I'll keep watching him every night.

    80. 80

If the man was not married at the time then I don't understand why this is being so overblown. Could we please stop talking about this now? Co-workers date/screw/have relationships/marry all the time(I've learned NOT to do this); it's no one else's business, really. I just can't believe how many youngish women were willing to screw this crypt keeper.

    81. KBGD says – reply to this

      81

Truly, this might be a double standard for me… but Dave can do no wrong. I'm fine with him. He was upfront when he needed to be. Case closed.
