Oscar-winner Adrien Brody has been cast as the lead in Predators, a remake of the 1987 film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.
WTF?!
Appararently, Brody fought hard for the role as he hopes to rebrand himself as an action hero with an option of future installments.
We had no idea he was that desperate!
The film, which is about a heroic mercenary who battles alien hunters, will be produced by Robert Rodriguez and aims for a release date of July 9, 2010.
Will U see it?!

I laughed quite loudly when I saw this picture. Is that some man cleavage going on there? I don't get this look, it's like cracked out Gilligan or something.

I'm not putting alot of hope in this movie since its also been reported that Topher Grace has been cast as well. Neither of them have "action figure" in thier genes and while I loved Topher in Spiderman…..nope, not gonna be interested in it. They should have left the original alone and come out with a NEW idea. Yeah, originality is obviously dead in Hollywood.
I love him and Predator… win win. And I don't see how this is desperate? Predator is a well respected sci-fi classic. geeze perez, pull your head out.

I think this will be great! I love Adrien Brody and Predators was a great film. Kind of interested to see what Rodriguez will do with the movie. I say it's a good move.

Adrian Brody has ruined my autumn! Each year we would take our kids to the Stone Barn Castle for their Halloween Trick or Treat Village but Adrian goes and buys the place and now it just sits there! Do you know how awesome it was to walk the property of a castle in the cool autumn air and eat chili and go on hayrides and paint pumpkins and go through the haunted house in part of the castle? It was amazing and he took that away from me, I'll never recover!
He's gotta justify his "investment" in steroids. That also explains his choice of wardrobe.
