Lauren Graham To Replace Helen Hunt Replacing Maura Tierney?

Well, that's Hollywood for you!
Supposedly the talks between the upcoming NBC show Parenthood and actress Helen Hunt fell through after she was being considered as the replacement for Maura Tierney's role - Tierney had to leave the series due to being recently diagnosed with breast cancer.
Now in the running is Lauren Graham of Gilmore Girls fame to take on the part of single mother, Sarah.
We'd love to see Lauren back on TV!

Hell ya I love lauren grahm and I really like maura tierney but I know she is not in a place to do the show. I hope she gets better soon. I think Lauren would be a great second choice though.

Does anybody else think this series may be jinxed? Also does anybody else think NBC is having a crisis of creativity by making a movie from over 20 years ago into a TV series? How about the fact that NBC already made this movie into a TV series in 1990 and it failed miserably (though with some positive critical notices). I loved the movie and thought the cast was great. NBC is seriously in trouble as a network, although Parks and Req. is briliant.

Re: ap076 – I have to really disagree about Parks and Recs. I tried. I watched the entire first season, wanting to like it. It's stagnant and unfunny.

Re: joebobjimjack – Yeah I can have suspect taste when it comes to sitcoms. I actually don't watch 30 Rock or The Office or Two and a Half Men and so many love those shows. I did try Community and thought it was horrible, NBC has already moved it's time slot. I smell future cancellation there.
