If you were hoping to see your favorite Springfield characters back on the big screen for The Simpson's sequel, you better start hoping for something else.

Creator Matt Groening says "It took 18 years to get around to doing the move. We got very frustrated. We thought it would take two years but it ended up taking four. Some day maybe we'll do another one - but don't hold your breath."

There is a small possibility that another movie could be made after the series wraps, but once again Matt doesn't know when that's going to be.

"We cannot predict the end because we can't believe we are still here today," explained Groening.

And there you have it.

We have a feeling another one will happening eventually. That's too much money to walk away from!
