Dr. Phil Trapped & Attacked A Female Staffer Patient???

Filed under: Legal Matters > Dr. Phil

A woman has come forward with a lawsuit against Dr. Phil, claiming that the good hick doc attacked the woman with emotional and physical abuse. The lawsuit reads that during a session together back in 2007, Phil forced his female patient, Shirley Dieu, to "be in the same room with a completely naked live man while he exposed his entire naked body, genitals and all."

Maybe she should just be glad it wasn't Dr. Phil that was completely naked. (No, seriously. That's very wrong.)

Shirley then claims that she tried to leave the building, only be "blocked by the staff to prevent her from leaving." She also alleges that during their session, Dr. Phil "touched her left breast". And to top it all off, Dr. Phil isn't even licensed to practice in California, a tid-bit he never shared with Shirley.

This is horrible - if it's true. This Shirley could just be a woman banking on the whole talk show scandal epidemic going around Hollywood.

What do U think?

      100% bullshit, very obviously so.

    2. 2

People in the entertainment industry are never held responsible for their actions until their ratings fall apparently.

    3. 3

this allegation is so stupid. but i still don't like dr. phil … is he even a doctor? srsly.
he helps people and gives others advice on how to maintain a relationship/marriage or whatever when i hear he is divorced (not sure if thats true. too lazy to google it). classy

    4. 4

      Why would anyone believe this????

      It is too ridiculous!!

    5. 5

I doubt it, but I don't like him either way

    8. 8

i don't believe it and i think it is some nut job trying to make a fast buck…get a job people and quit trying to find the easy way/fast cash. the whole not licensed to practice in CA, a bunch of BS, he has mentioned it on his show more than once….I've seen it - get a life lady!

Oh PUHLEEZE, this is so transparent it's not even funny. NO, I don't like "Dr" Phil, but I don't think the man is an idiot either and IF this accusation were true he would definitely be an IDIOT. She's just after her 15 minutes of fame, and then her 15 years in the idiot ward.

    10. 10

Mario you can see him in the court the same day your getting your ass sued!!!!heheeee

I never watch Dr. Phil, but caught a bit of it the other day. He was on with his wife and his daughter-in-law and his son. They spent a long time talking about when they discovered she was pregnant and surprising Dr. Phil and his wife…just drivel…They remind me of Jim and Tammy Faye Baker. Honestly, for those that actually sat through (I changed the chanel), that whole story on one of their private life events, I have to say get a life of your own…and don't be sucked into theirs. That is exactly what the Bakers used to do…homey little stories of how they are "regular folk"..sickening.

Quoted from People so take it for what it's worth:

"It's unclear how much she is seeking in damages but Dieu – who filed a malpractice suit against an Orange County hospital in 2002 and sued a car dealership in 2007 – is acting as her own attorney, and her filing is filled with misspellings and grammatical errors. Records also show she filed for bankruptcy in May 2008."

She's clearly a litigious person (how many lawsuits have you filed in your life?) and no pltf's atty will take the case - against a deep pocket like Dr. Phil? and with his visability? Very skeptical . . .

    18. 18

OMFG!!!!! Get a life Shirley……….if there even is really such a person! What a bunch of BS! Dr. Phill Would be the last person to do anything unethical……….give me a break, you money hungy idiots!

    19. 19

I don't believe her. Why would he do that?? However, she has motive, probably wants money for her "trauma"

    20. 20

this crackpot "dr" needs to go down.

    21. 21

it is 2009-is the statutes running out?

    22. 22

I think Dr Phil needs a shrink!!

    23. 23

Anything is possible….but this does not seem probable.

    24. 24

Can't stand the guy or his entire potato head family.
They all need to go back to where ever they came from.
Does anyone watch his crappy show anyway?

    25. 25

Wow. That's the most obvious bs i've heard yet.

That phony Phil guy is creepy as hell. I wouldn't be in the same room with him to save my life. She would be safer with the naked satranger.

My issue with these cases is that they come to light years after they happened.

    28. 28

I discern dr phil as being manipulative.
Remember when he tried to get involved with Britney Spear's drama?

    29. 29

      clearly made up story.
that you would even think this is true shows how stupid you are.
why would he put her in a room with a naked man? like, come on.
it obviously sounds like some nutjob trying to get attention.

    30. 30

I feel like the story is just to weird to be true. If she were lying wouldn't she just say he raped/molested her, instead of all of this naked man stuff.

      31

I think there's more to this than 'meat's' the eye…

    32. 32

This doesn't even make sense. Dr. Phil, as far as I know, isn't licensed to practice anymore at all. He said so on his show, which is why he doesn't see patients one on one.

    33. 33

Dr Phil is a hack so I wouldn't be surprised if this were true. With that said there does seem to be a lot of false lawsuits going around.

    34. 34

The Lady Is CRAZY!!!! As Much I Hate Her I Have 2 Admit… She Is My Aunt…. But Everyone In The Family Is ANTI SHIRLEY…. I Feel Bad For Her Children….. Definately A Disgrace!!

    35. 35

This is OPRAH'S fault. She unleashed that idiot on us. We';ve said it before and we'll say it again- Dr. Phil is a JERK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    36. 36

I believe her. This IS exactly the type of sexual abuse I would expect to see from an impotent bully. Textbook fucked up 'shrink' stuff. I hope she is brave and strong. It appears from what I am reading that some people seem to be able to form full and complete assessments of people and situations based on what is fed to them by the well-financed media moguls. So, this woman will suffer publicly for being brave. And Dr. Phil will get a momentary boost in his falling ratings for laughing it off. And then, when she is close to winning, he will boost his ratings further a' la' Letterman style. Vomitous, really.

And he isn't licensed to practice in Arnie's state?!! That makes me feel WAY better for this woman and her situation. She actually doesn't have to talk about the humiliation she suffered. She just has to show that he represented himself fraudulently to her. Then, his empire collapses……

Has anyone else noticed? My hunky friend Matt and I couldn't believe the Flintstone advice he was giving to women who were clearly being humilated, abused, and controlled??? We tried his philosphy. It didn't work. We broke up.

Prayers for strength, friends and courage for Shirley and the "other" victims,

Anya Blah, blah, blah The Grand Duchess of Blog-Doom
