Ellen Page To Write New HBO Comedy

Hipster heaven!
Ellen Page is teaming up with fellow Whip It cast members Alia Shawkat and Sean Tillman to write and executive produce a new comedy for HBO called Stitch N' Bitch.
The show will follow "two painfully cool hipster girls as they relocate from Brooklyn's Williamsburg neighborhood to Los Angeles' Silver Lake enclave in hopes of becoming artists — of any kind."
Casting decisions have yet to be made, but all 3 actors are being considered to star in the project as well.
Sounds like a snoozefest to us!

if its supposed to be a comedy, then i think id give it a try.
well, thy are going to have some trouble on the copy right front. Stitch N Bitch is already a line of knitting books by Debbie Stoler- they have groups all over the country of women and men who convene over the love of kitting and crafts called "Stitch N Bitch". its been done, and those ladies are trying to make great from something that is DIY in essence. diy commercial style?? no thank youuu.

I never have an opinion until I actually watch a show. Perez, I don't hate ya but seriously, can you stop being so negative about new shows/movies/music until it's available? Ellen Page is talented, that's all I know right now.

ellen page is a refreshing young actress who really knows how to make people laugh - i'd definitely give this comedy a try, and hopefully it will be different than the other hundreds of failed attempts at comedy
Not everyone got it when David Lynch captured Silverlake best… hmmmm… weird Mulhulland Drive/former Disney Studio 8 plex. Coming to this town that is posing as a city with "neighborhoods". It rubs off quickly on the transplants and quickly changes the artist in all who enter into indecisive philosophizing babbling brooks. Parent-subsidized knitting and other making things dreams. Romanticizing the fact that people with the $$$ want it done their way and want the creatives to be the hands for painstakingly tedious details from motion graphics to mixed media.
I guess this show will be for the tweens and the parents that are subsidising their child's "make art dreams".
I love Ellen. I know HBO has a high rate of success. Crossing fingers.
