Kiss has released Sonic Boom this week, its first new studio effort in 11 years and it's poised to sell BIG time!
According to early sales reports, Sonic Boom is expected to sell between 150,000 - 175,000 copies. That's huge for the band who would get their first chart-topping release EVER!
The album is being sold exclusively at Wal-mart and will feature 3 discs — one with all new material, a greatest hits CD and a live DVD from their Kiss Alive 35 South American tour in Argentina.
Kiss member Gene Simmons has proudly proclaimed that it could be "the best new record" they've done since 1976's Destroyer.

putting ALL aside, from their image to their ages.. this latest single sounds pretty good! If its at Walmart, then I bet it'll be a pretty cheap record. So yeah - I'll check it out! And, I have heard that they are touring also… and hitting up my town - Erie, PA!

Why are they touring in South America? Because South America still rocks out like in the old days, some of the best guitar players are coming from South America. Not enough interest in the US I suppose.

The reason they did that number is because Wal-Mart has bought that many. Not because they sold that many. That's why bands just sell through their stores. It's in the deal that Wal-mart buys a certain number of copies.

Already got it.KickASS hard rock.and with the hits cd and live dvd for 12 $$,you cant beat that.They also still kick it live they blew up lettermans show and kimmels show this week(maybe its on those shows websites,or youtube) "Modern Day Delilah"is their best single in years.
They actually wrote some new tunes? Great. That's what working musicians ought to be doing. They did have some catchy tunes back in the day. I will root around for net samples. It SHOULD be about the music, first and foremost.
