And they got it!
She belted out an impromptu a capella performance of Your Disco Needs You and the crowd was more than happy to join in!

I was there, she was awesome and are people seriously saying she's copying GaGa? I love GaGa but Kylie has been doing this for 25 years. The only other dance-pop divas in the same league are Madonna (the Queen of course) and Janet Jackson. Lady GaGa, Brit, Rihanna and the others have just learned from the original dance divas.

the concert was lovely as her costumes. she brought so much elegance to the show - her costumes and songs…they were alot that lady gaga could learn in a life time.
people here in the US have always written her off as a light-weight, but this shows all of these Lindsays and Mileys what a true professional is. Notice how great her voice is live?? Bravo Kylie, bravo!
First thing is first.
Kylie Minogue has been recording music since 1987. Is ENORMOUS pretty much everywhere except the US. To compare her to Lady Gaga who has been around for about 2 years tops is ridiculous. Kylie has an amazing designer Will Baker who has worked with her for eons to create her outfits.
Second - this is what a professional does when there is a technical problem..PERFORM. Not race off stage or complain..just perform. Which she does. Well done Kylie.
My God! I bet if I looked up the word "tacky" I'd find a picture of this woman as the visual explanation. Does he pay people to attend her "concerts"? This is just ridiculous! And her outfit? PLUH-EEEEEEEEEEEEZE!

Having said that, it's a crying shame that Kylie's shows, always seem to have major technical breakdowns after phenominal premiere's…After all the hype about the Chicago theater not being able to "handle the mass of it", perhaps, everyone should be prepared for the "B" or even "C" show as she herself calls them. It's obvious from this fuzzy, low-bandwidth YouTube vid, Miss Minogue can INDEED SING and in tune especially on "The Opera".
BUT, the ears and the outfit do make her short frame look a lil' "pudgy" if you get my drift.

By the way, a word of warning to those buying "hard tickets" to the New York shows..The post office is closed Monday the 12th for Columbus Day and some Ebayer's are still "guaranteeing Monday delivery". Even Express Mail/overnight USPS mailed Friday WILL not reach you in Saturday's mail. SO if you're like me, traveling almost 800 miles by Amtrak (Gawd, protect me!) OR even just flying in, be sure to get E-tickets OR pay the 46.54 EXTRA to have tickets delivered by FedEx, Saturday confirmation (check that box)..FedEx can't actually guarantee me Monday the 12th delivery before I have to catch the train late Monday evening for the 12 hour ride up. I've had to pass on a deal for 67 buck GA on the 13th because of Columbus Day..(Boo Hiss!)

I was at this gig and it was my first huge pop performance. It was absolutely amazing! anyone talking shit should just back off. I was impressed that she can actually sing really well. The crowd was 95% gay men and they lost their shit! I was hanging with the band after the show and they said that Chicago had made the most noise so far on this US tour. They also said she is an amazing person to work for and is such mother hen. Sweet, lovely and incredibly sincere. Always nice to hear!
and before anyone starts up on the "stealing from lady gaga" rant please do not forget that amazing cowl neck dress she wore in the "can't get you out of my head" video back in the day. Looks like something GaGa would wear now no?

I love it when she does the opera bit. Good to see her interact with the audience. She really seems to be enjoying this tour.
Oh yea, one more thing about this outfit and ears. Not my fave Kylie outfit…NO…Maybe she's trying to be hillarious/parody something. If you took the ears and boots off, it'd look like one of those lady 'Wrasler" leotards. Kind of like "The Great Moolah" aka Lillian Anderson, rest her soul. Womens "champion" for 50 something years.
As far as my plumb comment, at 5' and a WHOLE 1/4 inch, a single extra POUND could make Kylie look so much heavier. That's the price of being tiny and cute.

Re: Phew!!! – I have to echo what Phew said. Only one show didn't have Disco as the "automatic" request. I went to the show in NYC on Monday. The best thing about it was Hugh Jackman was there and it was his birthday. I was kinda, no really disappointed. Got a 30 dollar ticket, got up close. I've seen all her stuff on video before so when I saw it live, I knew what costume or prop came from what previous concert. The dancers were not in best form with several miscues. I tried to just listen to the music and shut out the rest.Unfortunately, the music seemed to take second place to lasers and confetti. All in all, maybe this was "the problem show" People left smiling but more akin to "Okay, we saw her, let's get something to eat". Didn't hear anyone exiting saying "I can't wait until we GO again!"
I guess I expected more. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't that great 10/12 either especially for the long wait in line. Perez. I'm depressed over Kylie BUT Hugh Jackman WAS "pretty"..
