Letterman's Wife Demanded The Apology

David Letterman revealed his sexual affairs with staffers last week and that was the last time the talk show host wanted to address the situation.
But his wife Regina Lesko wasn't satisfied with that and reportedly demanded that he apologize on the show directly to her for the embarrassment he's caused.
Regina agreed to let him make a few jokes in the speech, but apparently he went a bit too far and she isn't pleased. The source says: "Regina felt like Dave's humorous take on the apology lessened the sincerity of it, and she's not happy at all."
We think Dave is going to be in the doghouse for a loooong time!

I also felt that his apology was less than sincere. I mean, he wants to be a poster boy for standing up to crime. Well, what about your crimes against morality Dave?!!! You really don't seem sorrowful about it at all; just that you got caught. Is it because the leash on you has been so long? Well, it's super-tight now, choking even, isn't it? You're not cute. If what is being said is true that he was messing around while he was married and not before then I would do more than make him apologize on t.v…..he would have gotten to work on a stretcher…

Poor Regina. I think she can handle Dave. Too bad he is still a stupid man at 60. You expect some maturity by that age. I have very strong men in my life, and they know what it means to be committed.

Apologies should be made in private if they don't directly involve another party. He apologized to the staff (who was directly involved) publicly which was right.
He wasn't even married to his wife when he had these indiscrepancies so who's she to ask for an apology? Besides a private one for losing a little face in the matter, that's all she should get.
I saw the "apology" and at first I thought it was going good. But then he started cracking jokes. Then the audience was clapping and laughing. WTF. He's such an asshole. Why he as seen as anything less than that is beyond me. Wake up America. Why do we let celebrities get off clean? Just because they are famous? Boo hoo. She knew the rules from the start. If you're a celebrity and you have sex with someone other than your spouse, it's not cheating. Also it's not cheating if you're not a celebrity but have an affair with someone in a different area code.

She knows he's a cad and has always known he's a cad. Wonder if she'll leave him, like after a decent lapse of time–6 mos or so. Feel really bad for her as a mom, and what the kid will go through. Course we know Dave is a really good businessman so he's probably got an airtight prenup. She needs a really good lawyer.

Trust me, these women will never give up the lifestyle by leaving. Well, I shouldn't say never…but rarely. Look how often baseballers cheat and the wives hang on — for the lifestyle. And so, Letterman's wife will get over his blunders, probably some of 'em made while he was married.

Reports are now surfacing there may have been something between Dave and Steph as recently as August, after he was married. I personally think he could have rounded up his staff and apologized to them privately and then he only would have had to apologize to his wife privately. His need to seek a laugh made the apologies seem less than genuine. His wife is the only victim in this whole affair and rather than just end a long term relationship, I hope he/they seek counseling and can repair the relationship. At the very least for the sake of their son.
I read that Stephanie has been banned from the set. I hope that's true. I can't imagine David's wife saying it's okay for her to keep working there. It looks like she'll lose her job.

He's an ass. Just because he wasn't married does not make it okay. They were together since 1986 so it was not some one off. It was a committed ( at least on her part) relationship. But now reports are saying that he was married at the time of the affair. So I guess no one can use the "no ring on the finger" excuse anymore.

His marriage broke up because he was unfaithful…the next relationship broke up because he was unfaithful (with Regina,I think I read)…and now he has been unfaithful with AT LEAST two women since he strated to have a relationship with Regina. More may come out. In any event, I think Regina will eventually divorce him when she keeps playing the scandal in her head. She will get lots of money,especially for child support, and will not have the humiliation of spending the rest of her life with someone who is a serial cheater, with much younger women to boot….Also, wasn't it a bit strange timing wise that after all these years he married Regina in March and six months later this erupts…just saying.

You never get over being cheated on, once the trust is gone, & it is, once you find out. The relationship is pretty much over, you can never trust him or her again. End of story.
