No More Twitter, Sports Fans!
There is a ban on Twitter from some sports teams - as it has created some tension for some players and their coaches.
Though it has become an huge phenomenon, Twitter seems to be getting certain sports celebs in trouble, as they use the site to let out some of their frustrations as well as distract them from actually playing.
For instance, the Miami Heat was told they could no longer tweet from the arena, home or away, during practice or a game. Tweeting seems to be interfering with their focus, which isn't such a great thing for a basketball player.
Further north, New York Jets receiver David Clowney was benched after a tweet angered his coach. David discussed his unhappiness with his game playing and the amount of time he was given on the field.
But at least he didn't criticize his coach for the whole world to see, like Texas Tech's Red Raiders linebacker Marlon Williams, who sent out a stoopid tweet about how "the head coach can't even be on time" when he arrived late for a meeting. Now the whole team is banned from tweeting.
Yikes!
Who knew that grown men on major sport-teams would have the be scolded like middle-school girls?! Sucks to be you guys!

Oh Perez you need to be scolded too for being an addict of internet.
I agree with the ban if it is interfering with practices or following the game play, which allows for time to evaluate the opponent. This is especially important in basketball where players are both simultaneously on offense and defense. But once they are out of the sporting facility I think anything is fair game. I'm not saying it is productive or good for team morale to criticize a coach or other players publicly, but I hate even more encroaching on free speech.
You should fire your copy editor. Seriously. You're not some backyard blogger anymore Perez, time to graduate to the big boys!
If you are so pro free speech Perez, then why aren't any of my posts appearing in the "Miley-Cyrus" section. Stop hiding from the truth Perez. Unblock me.
It's idiotic to even think of tweeting during a professional practice or game. If you want instant catharsis for your personal inner frustration over the way things are, conduct that dialogue with yourself in your own head and resolve it like an adult.
