You read that right!
Josh Duggar, the first-born son of super-breeders Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, and his wife Anna have welcomed their first child into the world, a daughter named Mackynzie Renee.
Jim Bob and Michelle have 18 children and are currently pregnant with their 19th expected this spring! Mackynzie is their first grandchild…probably of many.
Josh says: "I would welcome a big family. My parents have been wonderful examples." The couple has also stated on their web page:
"Having both been raised in large families, we have agreed to trust God in the area of children and the size of it."
Well, congrats!
We guess if Anna is as fertile as Michelle, we're to expect a slew of babies with "M" names in the years to come!

there's something really wrong with one person having that many children, as clearly seen on the show as you have the older kids basically raising the younger ones-at least they provide for themselves, but still, two parents don't have enough attention to give 18 kids

I find it selfish on the part of the parents…why deprive the children of their 'childhood'? Once I was watching the show and they said they relied on the 'buddy system' -by which the older kids take care of the younger ones….DON'T MAKE KIDS IF YOU CAN'T TAKE CARE OF THEM YOURSELF!

I can't stand these people. Pretty sure "god" tried to get them to stop breeding when Michelle had a prolapsed uterus. Hopefully this baby will be twins so they can have an even 20 and stop forever. They make me ill. They don't raise their kids. The older kids raise the younger ones.
Atleast they are not relying on welfare like most people that pop out a bunch of kids. they built theIr own house took them three years so they wouldn't have a mortgage. So I think having more kids is their bussiness.

Firstly, the family does not rely on any money from the goverment or tax payers. Their income is derived from the commercial properties they own, they both work with real-estates, and obviously the show pays them. It seems like their children are very well educated and The Duggars are simply very conservative Baptists. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that in my opinion. They all look very happy. They consider every child as a gift of god and thats way better than what some parents consider and treat their kids. I'm sure everyone reads the news and always sees an article of a child neglected, abused, beaten, etc. I do not think i will have 19 kids, or am a conservative baptist, or ever think of living the way they do. However I do not judge them because they have a different beliefs or point of view.

I'm sort of disgusted at them because its almost like they are taking advantage of the fact that health systems are better now then they were 200 yrs ago, when most women DIE by sometimes just having 1 baby. But I don't believe its god will to have so many children when God also created Famine, disease, and other horrible things that kill millions each year. He also gave science the ability to create birth control to CONTROL Populations for a reason…. I give kudos to them for staying off public assistance and all that other stuff but I dont like the fact that these people including the Gosselins are being rewarded for doing nothing but having Children… If they wanted more kids how about adopting a needy child or giving one a home instead of giving birth.

These people make me SICK! The poor older children have to take care of the new babies because the parents can't handle all of them! I know children should help but they shouldn't have to take care of their parents children! When Josh got married the mother was asked if they would help him….she said NO he's a grown man……but yet he helped raise their children!!! They had to do ALL the chores and RAISE their kids! * If you can't imagine having that many kids and supporting them, perhaps it is you, who does not have their $#!t together.
* Regarding over-population, start reading more statistics on International mortality and re-population, instead of getting your information only from the Daily Show (no offense to my bro, John S.). You'll see that some countries cannot even re-populate fast enough to sustain their nations. Russia, for example, has a special day just for couples to "get it on"; and, if you can conceive on that day, you can win prizes.
In closing, lighten the fuck up, get higher goals, care about other people and read a book once in awhile.

No concern for what is already an over-populated planet. Can you imagine the resources all these breeders are going to use up? Michelle can easily pop out another half dozen or so before she hits menopause. The first son is getting an early start with his upcoming hoard.
This is wrong to me, but again, this is my opinion. I wouldn't raise more kids than what I can care for (and by care I mean directly care, not the older brothers taking care of the younger ones). As long as they don't ask the government pay for their selfish decisions, that's fine with me. But, the problem is that if they are religious conservatives,as I think they are, and knowing that an estimated 10% of the population is gay, statistically 1 or 2 of these kids are going to be gay hopefully they won't have a miserable live living around those judgmental and hateful religious groups.
And lets not forget that as he gets older (and I guess she is older than 35) the chances of having a Down Syndrome baby keep going up, so please think about what you are doing. You are putting a little baby at risk of being handicapped just because, I guess, your religious beliefs.

They are way too young to have gotten married and already have a baby. It's wrong to me. They should have waited just a few more years. Marriages are 3x more likely to fail if you marry before 23 anyways. And I really hope to god they arent gonna have 18 kids too!

To think that the reason I do not want kids is because my mom left me watching my little sister for two hours and she cried and cried and cried and cried until she had no more tears. I showered her, fed her, changed the diaper, I did everything I could to make her stop and nothing. When my mom came back I handed my sister to her and swore never to have kids… I was 11 then, I am 30 now and I still do not want kids!!!! Not even one!!!! Let alone 19.

Congrats to the happy couple!! We did the math *due to boredom* and the Duggars have been having children literally one after the other. The span of their marriage is 20 years - Pregnancy takes 9 months - after the birth of each child you have to wait 6 weeks before having sex to get pregnant again - they literally did that. Thus Michelle Duggar has, over the past twenty years, been pregnant for each year of their marriage minus six weeks per year - how insanely messed up is that???

There was an episode of 'Supernanny' where the family had ten kids and basically the parents pawned off the responsibilities of the younger children onto their older children. You want to see how DEPRESSED those older kids were because they can't have lives of their own. No two parents can give enough love and undivided attention to 19 FUCKING CHILDREN! Someone needs to dump some anti-sterilization drugs in their water supply.

I would like to say I wouldn't choose to have this many children in my life time at all not even close. They feel like thats what they want then more power to them. They take care of them finanically themselves which is great, it's hard with just one let alone 19 of them. I do watch the show and I love the family I do see that the older ones have a lot of resonsibility to help with the younger ones, but I also see they enjoy doing that and feel like they are a family and working together. I think it gives them a sense of reponsibility, but I wonder if it ever gets too much for them. I would think that at some point in the parents life they would love to be able to just live their lives as husband and wife and be able to enjoy there older years to do somethings they never done or just to relax and enjoy each other. I know they have been having kids for a while and I know it doesnt get any easier. You have to at some point in time have me time and when you start to have grandchildren is kind of werid for the niece to be older than the aunt or uncle. I'm just saying that isnt often the case.
