Joe Francis May Be Screwed Because Of The Security Video
Yesterday we told you about the security video that has been released that shows Joe Francis attacking Playmate Jayde Nicole at Guys and Dolls nightclub.
According to a retired LAPD Lieutenant, the video alone could land Francis back in jail.
The retired officer says: "If the officers saw the video or if they'd had the benefit of seeing the video, I think you have felony battery."
The keyword there is "think".
But remember, Francis isn't completely at fault. The officer goes on to say, "They've both committed crimes", but Francis' is a more serious crime.
He has a point, even though Jayde was the one who provoked the attack, not once but TWICE.
We're sure Jayde is excited to hear this news, seeing as this could help her vendetta case in court.

The problem for Jayde is that courts look at these things different thn police officers. Courts have the "But For" rule. But for her actions would this incident have taken place? i.e. if she hadn't assaulted him first would he have attacked her? The answer is no. So even if Joe gets some trouble, she is nowhere near off the hook on this one.

Perez must be getting tips from Joe Francis. He has been known to kiss ass to the media so that they dont show him in such a bad light. I had head stories about Joe Francis being violent towards women, but seeing that video was quite disturbing. The guy needs locked up.

It seems to me like you are standing up for Joe. Why do you seem to sometimes develop loyalties to some of these "celebrities" and warp stories for them? It is pretty obvious to me that Joe is wrong in this case, but you seem to be trying to push all the blame on the girl. He committed assault on a woman!
Why would you try to change the story that you give to the American (maybe other countries?) public? I've seen this in the past, you don't change it much, just enough to try to change people's views about the situation when it is a celebrity that you like. When it is a celebrity that you don't like, you tend to pick at them and write awful stories about them (Jen Aniston, Miley Cyrus, etc.). Why not just relay the facts? Why stick your opinion of the person in there, much less alter a story for the person's benefit or detriment?
You have developed a lot of power with this blog and I think you have abused it many times. Maybe that is something that you can try to change? Let people develop their own opinions?

You guys are crazy. The level of violence from Jayde and Joe were worlds apart, and they will be punished accordingly, with Joe receiving the much harsher punishment he deserves for acting so violently. Jade will also be punished but it's not comparable.
The "But For" rule doesn't cover this as it was clearly not self-defense. The law will not side with Joe, as some people think, and it shouldn't as his actions were deplorable.
I don't know why you all want to side with a woman-beater (and rapist and all around horrible person, making money off of the humiliation of vulnerable young girls they TARGET and intoxicate). If a man walked up to a woman totally unprovoked and threw a drink on her and hit her in the head and she turned around and yanked his hair, we would say good for her and cart him off to jail. So why is it different because the roles are reversed? The man was going about his business when this lunatic assaulted him. He responded like any one who is attacked would. He did not hit her or throw anything on her, he just yanked her hair. He should have whooped her ass but good. Long ago I was standing at a crowded bar with my then long-haired boyfriend when a disgruntled ex-girlfriend tried to light his hair on fire with a lighter when his back was turned. Alerted by the bartender and another patron he turned around and punched the girl in the head hard enough to briefly knock her out. The cops came and while they were talking to witnesses and my bf, she was jeering and taunting him that she got what she wanted…he was going to jail for assault. She was shouting out orders for rounds and hamming it up with her friends, making a big scene even bigger. When the officers approached her again she had this huge shit-eating grin on her face until they told her to turn around. The place was silent…then everyone cheered. It was our turn to point and laugh at the stupid girl that thought she could provoke someone into a rage and then just flounce off with no repercussions.

What's distrubing is that she felt so comfortable and compelled to do what she did. She was not provoked and it appears her actions are being overlooked. This act does NOT happen without her self-initiated actions.

Re: JoliAvocat – I will not go as far as saying how many yrs. I have been at it but I will say this: at this point it is a civil matter and the courts are backed up. My guess is that this will be settled out of court at an un-disclosed amount of $$$ with limitations for both parties regarding the media circuit. Will probably be hush order from both clients in settlement if there is a settlement. Anyone can sue anyone but that doesn't mean one party or the other will come out ahead except us of course.
