What a bizarre casting choice!
Apparently, Pussycat Dolls member Nicole Scherzinger may be joining the cast of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantom of the Opera sequel in the West End next year.
Love Never Dies is set 10 years after the original Phantom of the Opera on Coney Island in 1919. Scherzinger was said to be talking about the musical over the weekend at The Mirage's 20th anniversary party in Las Vegas.
Sure the girl can sing, but can she act?!

well that movie will most likely suck!
casting nicole would be the final nail in the coffin, the sequel was a terrible idea to begin with and the story undermines the message at the end of the original
WHATEVER!! I can't think of anybody less suited for a role in anything Phantom related

I don't know who she would play. Yesterday was the press conference for the show in which the leads were introduced, part of the score was played, and the phantom sung his first song in the show.
Ramin Karimloo will is The Phantom, a role he has also played in the first installment of the Phantom saga. Sierra Boggess plays Christine, a role she has been playing in Vegas. Before that she originated the role of the Little Mermaid on Broadway.
So far the show seems promising. The piece they played, Coney Island Waltz, was very good and the song the Phantom sang, Till I Hear You Sing, was also strong.
They don't need that bitch in the show.

i know everyone obviously hates her, but i will admit she can sing and act. i went to the same performing arts school she went to and she was in musical theater. she wasn't half bad.

Nicole has appeared on several tv shows and did really well. She started out in musical theater and PCD was only meant to be a stepping stone for her. People should stop hating on Nicole because if they really knew her, they would know that she is sweet and never trashy and her passion is singing and songwriting. She is misunderstood because of her PCD persona and Robin Antin's tackiness is to blame for that.
