T-Mobile Seriously Screws Their Customers

Yes, this is our fault for being loyal to the T-Mobile Sidekick and not switching to an iPhone or Blackberry like most of you smart people out there!
For a week now, we have not been able to access the contacts in our cell phone's address book. Literally SEVEN DAYS now - since last Friday!
That is unacceptable!!!!!!!
T-Mobile's service for their Sidekicks went down worldwide a week ago (because Danger, the maker of the phone, royally fucked up) and many many many users STILL have not been able to access their contacts. Since then, T-Mobile's customer service and communication with their customers has SUCKED. It's pathetic, disgusting and insulting!
Not being able to access our emails and phone numbers for AN ENTIRE WEEK has severely affected our ability to work and communicate with our friends and family! For us, our Sidekick has been an integral part of our work life for over four years now. And we're sure a lot of other people out there are in a similar situation.
T-Mobile can thank us all they want for being patient, but THAT'S IT. Patience is over at the one week mark!
How much longer are they going to want/expect us to be patient for??????
As we are heading into the weekend…We need answers! NOW!
Are we getting our address books back or not????????? If so, WHEN?
The makers of the Sidekick, Danger, said people should have access to their contacts by Thursday. That HAS NOT HAPPENED.
What is going on, T-Mobile????? We have been kidnapped by you this whole week! We would have dumped your ass already but we can't even access our address book from your fucking website!!!!!!!
To add insult to injury, the ONLY thing T-Mobile is offering their customers, whom they obviously don't value or respect, is one month of free data service.
That's shit!
One month of free data service (which is not the same thing as one month of free phone use) for SEVEN DAYS of heartache and no access to contacts????
That's fucked!!!!
T-Mobile needs to SERIOUSLY STEP UP and offer something MUCH MORE of value to their customers, however few remain after this debacle. Additionally, they better NOT EVEN THINK of charging a cancellation fee to any Sidekick customers that want to close their accounts.
Enough venting.
We need answers! We need them THIS MORNING!

I have a G1 and the service STILL sucks. i'll be on a call and the call will randomly end when i haven't moved even a millimeter. fucking douches, i swear. then i can't even send a call more than half the time i try to. ive tried multiple times to get out of the contract because they suck so bad. they always run around in circles on the shit. i'm leaving to go to VZW A.S.A.P. people say VZW costs more, but i'll get a discount because of where i work so i'll still be paying the same as i do for my G1…with service a million times better.

Do you guys not have your contacts backed up in a hard copy somewhere?
You people are dumb as hell. It is not a T-moble issue. T-mobile provides the phone service + sms (texting). Danger (owned by microsoft) provides the contacts, data, etc. When you pay t-mobile for the sidekick plan, they basically pay Danger. Therefore, DANGER's servers are down. NOT T-mobile. Fucking retards
Get over yourself and get a phone that's meant for adults and not Middle Schoolers.
It's also not their fault you didn't back anything up. It's one click on their website and all your contacts are listed.
Perez, can you please find a way to lead us in a class action or something? Especially after we've found out our data is lost forever. These are enough grounds don't you think? They won't let us out of our contracts without paying for that termination fee, even after all that's happened. Please please help us Perez! You have the power and the influence being the person that you are!

Believe I know you are really upset about the Sidekick. But let's look at one important fact that you wrote. MICROSOFT DANGER'S UNIT. Not T-Mobile's Danger's Unit. Perhaps instead of cursing at T-Mobile maybe the anger should be directed at Mircosoft that OPERATES the Sidekick servers. T-Mobile is the provider of cell service and Mircosoft runs the Internet that backs up the emails and phone contacts. Just a thought of directing the blame where it really should go. I mean if iPhone went down it would be Apple that would get the blame not AT&T.
Back your shit up! I feel your pain though. You are paying for shit that doesn't work. That's unacceptable and totally fucked. I was a T Mobile customer for 8 years or so. I had the Blackberry Curve and a few times my saved voice mails would mysteriously vanish. I called to complain, and the fools didn't know what to say and were no help at all. I never got those voice mails back. Now I'm with AT&T and I've switched to the iPhone 3Gs. It works like a charm. I'm very pleased.
uh huh aint that the truth tmobile sucks and im still stuck in my contract cant wait till its up cuz im leaving tmobile. they suck i lose signal all the time..aggravating

We need to have a blackberry or an iPhone because we need to be conected to the world a LOT more than most of the people. Just because you don't use a phone doesn't mean you are cooler or anything. It's just that you probably DON'T WORK… and if you do… well we all know what kind of work YOU HAVE.

Re: ritajean86 – don't just wait till your contract is up!!! like I just said to someone else, file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and even tho they might say no the first time you request that as a result of all this they let you out of your contract at no charge (which they did to me), make sure you let the BBB know what they told you the reasoning for not letting you out is… because chances are its BS and a "run around" answer.. they are hoping no one will do anything about this so they can keep customers… I informed the BBB about the convo in which they told me "no" and the next morning they called and changed their minds and I no longer have to deal with them…. YOU REALLY SHOULDN'T HAVE TO PAY FOR THEIR SCREW UP!!!!!
I remember that dinosaur. I left them for an iPhone and Blackberry when they released that tacky Sidekick III which was just like the II except hard keys and a somewhat sleeker look. Sorry Sidekicks are for kids.
