Letterman Took Mistress On A Family Vaycay!

His wife must feel like a giant a-hole!

Apparently, David Letterman felt that it was necessary to have select staff accompany him on family vacations!

And we're sure you can guess who that staffer was - the mistress of the moment, Stephanie Birkitt!

Birkitt, who was making $200,000 a year as Letterman's assistant, went with the late show host, his then girlfriend Regina Lasko and six-year old son to St. Barts at the height of their illicit affair.

We're pretty sure his now wife, Regina must have been blind!

She actually believed that the much younger assistant was an innocent friend and co-worker!

But, that's coming from the woman who waited around 23 years for a man to marry her!!!

It was even reported that the two took hikes together last fall at Letterman's Montana ranch.

So, it wasn't JUST about the sex?!

He should be very proud!

A clASS act!

This story brings back terrible memories of a very similar situation I encountered while working in network news twenty years ago. I was on the air and my then boss- married, of course- pursued me relentlessly and rewarded/punished me professionally based on how well I could hold him off on any given day. The attitude of my co-workers changed dramatically towards me and I was probably the topic of office gossip for a year. It was awful, awful, awful. This guy had had previous affairs with women he supervised and always promoted the ones he'd been involved with or wanted to be. The office was a nest of vipers because of his conduct- and I suspect there's a similar situation among Letterman's staff, as well. I wish I'd had the balls to sue- but do that, and you'd be finished at the networks 20 years ago. I pity the women who work for Letterman who perhaps said "no" or weren't attractive enough to pique his interest and were, therefore, NOT promoted. Hope someone has the guts I didn't have and sues him.

Hope his wife divorces him and gets full custody of his son.

      Whoa! That's VERY low.

"(Stephanie) Birkitt, who was making $200,000 a year as Letterman's assistant." Cut that by 75% for a normal Assistant salary. Unreal.

Thoughts and prayers go out to Regina Lasko - clean him out, Regina.

It goes without saying that Stephanie Birkitt's professional life is now irreparably damaged as well. She might call Monica Lewinsky for advice. Thanks, Dave!

how this man could be selfish enough to humiliate his son and wife i the name of a piece of ass is beyond me, and hopefull,y beyond comprehension of most people . . . how he has lied to his viewers, fan base, and family is disgusting, and the fact that he has the audacity to pass judgement on the guests he hosts and the public figures he skewers while passing time until his next sex session with what is basically a very highly paid prositute is horrifying. the fact that he continues to jest about it and disrespect his poor, humiliated wife repulses me. i can only imagine the hurt and embarassment she must feel now, and the pain and sadness his son will feel when he gets old enough to understand his classmates' taunts and rumors.

Re: DesertKate – i could not agree more. you can bet that for every piece of horrifying information that was leaked out, there were at least 20 instances of similar of worse misconduct going on. i can only imagine the type of work environment that must have existed that would permit a 60 year old man with a wife and son to have a long standing affair with a woman that cost him upwards of $200,000 a year and have no one feel able to report it. he seems like someone who wields his power, and money, with an iron fist and uses it to control the actions of his employees, as well as his significant others. my hearts go out to the women whove had to work under this chauvenist pig, and whose lives have been permanently affected by his inability to control whats in his pants. its sad how many people- from birkitt to his wife to his young son- will be humiliated by david letterman's cruel, selfish, and heartbreaking decisions.

Re: Lolasky – I don't care about Davis Letterman or your old boss, (who was probably doing the right thing by firing you) I only mentioned how you were anti-semitic and that's disgusting.
You could have left his religion out of your post you silly prostitute.

    7. 207

Re: Lolasky – Your anti-Semitism is as disgusting as the conduct you claim your ex boss exhibited. Just disgusting.

People cheat, men and women, it happens every day. Stop pretending like we all live in a perfect world and get off your high horses. Who cares what Letterman did, it was a consensual relationship.

    9. 209

Taking a mistress on a family vacation shows a real lack of character. He did not respect his girlfriend's dignity at all. As a star he will always get forgiveness and adoration from his adoring fans and she will never have the true respect that she deserves as a person as long as she is with him. I feel bad for the boy. He is going to be damaged by this.

His wife should take this opportunity to divorce dickhead BIG TIME! What alimony and child support!!!!!!!!!!

REGINA, if you're looking, SEIZE THE MOMENT, AIRHEAD!

    11. 211

CONFESSION: I slept with Dave, and I'm gay. [gasp!] LOL

    12. 212

Re: Moogle80 – Yo, Moogle, you're a complete, immoral asshole! He cheated on his wife???? Brought the slut on family vacations??? You're a f*in loser.

    13. 213

Re: DesertKate – Thank you very much for posting this! I too had been sexually harassed in a job and I did nothing. Though in retrospect, there was nothing I could do as it would have been hard to prove. I learned though! When I was harassed again in another job, I not only quit but demanded a package which I received ASAP (LOL!) paid for serveral GREAT vacations. In another job where my boss was having an affair with the married CEO and wielded all the power, I received ANOTHER package! At one point I started joking that it would be better to just collect compensation packages as a living. True I didn't sue, but in Canada we're not as litigious. And truth be told, a package is SO much better than a long drawn out trial which can ostensibly black list you. ALWAYS SETTLE OUT OF COURT!! :)

    14. 214

Re: Kassy129 – Well apparently what's coming out now is that Birkitt pursued Dave and he felt he may as well have this piece of ass. Why not? Oh, who knows that happened?!?! All we know is how immoral and sociopathic Dirty Dave is. Whether he started it or she started it makes no difference. He should have had the decency and professional presence to not to there. What a complete tool.

    15. 215

Re: Dave Letterman!!!COLON!!! Staff fucker – Clarifying that when I was FIRST sexaully harassed at a job I did nothing in the sense of not asking for a package. I definitely quit though! Next time…I asked for and immediately received a package!! And the time after that I received a package and I didn't even have to ask LOL. That's b/c it was a GREAT company and they knew what was going on and though could not stop the harassment, they compensated me greatly. Those two packages meant I didn't have to work for a YEAR if I didn't want to. So people need to STAND UP for themselves!!

Re: A Voice of Sanity – and you live in some make-belief fantasy world apparently. Grow up, cheating sucks but people still do it. Loads of people get away with it as well. What Letterman did wasn't very classy but he's not the first to do it, nor will he be the last. Why don't you start some 'death to all cheaters' fanclub if you feel so strongly about it. That will keep you busy for a while…

      Re: sahdahimbou
So what if he wasn't married at the time ? Does that mean that his then gf was allowed to screw around too ?
Go fuck yourself with a mop douche.

      Re: SexyScorpio..NY
Of course you're gonna blame women because you don't have any selfrespect and you are being treated like a doormat and you prefere to put the blame on someone who owns you nothing rather than put the blame where the blame belongs.
What the fuck does it mean 'men are men ' ? They still behave like shit because morons like you still exist. Do i think that Stephanie was right ? No she wasn't right but her responsibility is around 10%. The person who is attached is obligated to stay faithful and loyal , you cannot expect everybody else to behave themselves so that you will too at the end.
Fuck you, you're a moron and probably your husband/bf is cheating on you all the time and you keep blaming the other women instead the guy. You're a pushover.

    19. 219

Re: DeadlyNightshade – I honestly don't think she meant it the way you are taking it. I don't think she is exonerating mens' behaviour but simply stating that, given that men cheat, women need to do something about it. It's a ceteris paribus type of argument. One can also say…given that women are desperate whores who will steal another woman's man in a heartbeat…men need to not cheat.
      *
The truth is not all men cheat and not all women will steal another woman's man. But Birkitt apparently was COURTING Dave and Dave was fucking several women, not just Birkitt. They are both wrong.
*But Birkitt is NOT at 10% blame. That whore is at 100% blame. And Dirty Old Dave? He's at 100% blame too.

ok let me get this straight. A woman pines after Letterman for 23 years, he maybe loves her, but maybe she is not "The ONE". (Sorry if you don't want to marry her after 1-2 years- rather than 23- She's NOT the ONE!) Still he gives it a shot, and she gets knocked up. While he is still unmarried, (though he maybe in a privately exclusive relationship with baby momma) he has daliances and makes an error in judgment on the vacay. Maybe Baby Momma knows about the girl, maybe she doesn't. We are supposed to feel sorry for baby Momma?

Why are we not wondering if she knew all along and just spent 23 years getting her hooks into Dave and his money?
