The whole Gosselin drama just doesn't seem to end with something new being released to the media almost every day.
Yesterday, for the first time in weeks, the once happy couple, Jon and Kate Gosselin had to meet up for the birthday of their eldest twins, Mady and Cara.
Thankfully, the adults managed to keep it cordial in front of the kids.
So just what did the douchebag dad get his girls for their birthday? Sources reveal that Jon got Mady a laptop and got Cara an ATV!!!

But the happy day wasn't without a few tears from Mady.
According to Jon Gosselin an inside source, Mady became emotional at the end of the party and broke down crying after she allegedly became upset that her dad had to leave back to his hotel and couldn't stay at the house.
Maybe those were tears of happiness that he was leaving?

ATVs actually are good gifts for kids. They do make very small, not-powerful ATVs for kids. They're good practice for the real thing if used with adult supervision. It seems like they've got a lot of land and an ATV would be fun.
My kid's been riding them since he was three, and has never been in any danger. They aren't heavy and don't go very fast.

Ok he is King Douche…but the gifts arent crazy. My son got a 90cc ATV for his 5th bday. Governor switch on it ( throttle restriction) and he was safe..and outfitted with all gear, Thor boots..chest protector helmut etc. He is now 9 and has a 150cc quad and is a good rider. And he wants a laptop for christmas.
I think think those are nice gifts and not overly crazy expensive.
But the fact they came from him makes it uber douchey and lame of course lol.

Re: blsdjan – oh jesus fucking christ. and every year thousands of teenagers are killed in car accidents, so we should also say that cars are unsafe for teenagers to drive??? the biggest reasons there are tragedies on atvs with kids is because they are either driving one that way too big for them (aka one that was made for an adult) or their parents never taught them how to drive an atv and how to be safe with it. i grew up in a small town, i had an atv, a lot of my friends had atvs, we all grew up driving them around and not one of us was ever hurt.

Perez, I have to disagree with you on this. In my family we were all about riding ATVs. My dad even bought a miniature one for my brother and I to share and I believe I was about 6 years old and when I was about 7, I was driving the adult ones with ease. It's all about proper handling and the safety precautions that you take with a child when that child is riding the ATVs. Don't hate just to hate Perez, hate when it's a stupid idiotic thing.

plenty of kids way younger than 9 ride ATVs. I work at a motorcyle/atv shop that my brother owns and some kids are riding by the time they are 3 or 4. It is a perfectly safe sport if you are trained how to ride right and follow all the safety guidelines. He wouldn't have gotten her a big ATV. Probably just a 90cc or 110cc that are perfectly safe for 9 year olds. Parents can control the speed you can go and some even have wireless remotes that let the parent turn off the motor if they think their kid is going too fast your whatever.
An ATV is not too dangerous for a 9 year old. My 5 year old son has a 50cc 4 wheeler and a 110cc go kart and he can handle them very well. Maybe that's what they wanted…

While true that many "country" dwelling people are more than willing to purchase ATVs for their children, please do not assume that we all believe that our kiddos are disposable. Most of us are not the backwoods inbred hicks that aren't able to educate ourselves on the risks and dangers of giving our kids a little thrill. Most of us care enough about our children's safety to ensure they do not ride ATVs until they are at least 14. This is law in most states, and the recommended minimum age by ALL ATV manufacturers.
We've had a lot of idiot parents directly cause serious injury and death to their children by allowing them to drive these motorized vehicles. One six year old boy was decapitated because he could not control his ATV and ended up going through a wire fence. The parents were surprisingly not charged with manslaughter, even though they were directly responsible for their child's death.
It's certainly the prerogative of the parent to make those choices, but please don't lump all non-city dwellers together. Most of us have a brain in our heads. I did hear that Wal-Mart will have 'Bag Of Glass Shards' featured in their Black Friday sale, so on the way to the ATV store, parents can just swing by.
What's sad is that these POOR CHILDREN are being surrounded by the Paps for FUCK'S SAKE!!! These are not celebs! My friends have been letting their sons ride atvs since they were 4 & 5. It's perfectly fine. Obviously, it's something the kids are used to being around. It sure beats buying the kids video games and tvs. Gets the girls out there to be active.
