Isaiah Is Still Unemployed

Sorry Isaiah Washington, it appears that you killed your career!

It's been three years since Washington was canned by Grey's Anatomy for dropping the F-bomb on set while fighting with co-star T.R. Knight, but Washington's career has been at a standstill since!

But was the homophobic slur possibly the final nail in the coffin to fire Isaiah???

"Before Grey's he had a reputation of being hard to work with on set, and regardless of what he said, that impression remains unchanged," says one actor who worked with Washington in the past.

Diva!

Crisis expert Mike Sitrick has given reporters his professional opinion, stating his opinion that Washington may be able to turn his career around if he reaches out to the gay community.

"There are degrees of infractions or problems and some are much more forgivable in the public's mind than others, it's hard to be able to gauge these things," says Sitrick. "…It's not too late."

What do U think????

Is it too late??

If he "reached out" to the gay community, it would obviously be for the purpose of reviving his career.. how's that supposed to mean anything? Grade-a loser.

  4. 4

Celebrities need to realize that they are ALL very easily replaced. If they don't tow the line, there are a thousand people in line right behind them eager to their your spot. Celebrities need to know how to get along with others and keep their opinions to themselves.

  5. 5

Maybe he should call you Perez. I mean you used the same slur and seem to be doing just fine. Perhaps you had a better crisis management team than he did. Although it was wrong to use it both cases, T.R. Knight is so well liked, people saw him as cute little George, while Will i am is seen as the wired dude with the strange hair. Both men are human beings and should have never been addressed that way. I hope Isaih can move forward….you seem to

his trouble is he's difficult on the set ,not being homophobic because Mel Gibson (for example)he's homophobic , is big friend with Jodie Foster and is working with her in her next movie

  7. 7

    Isaiah is working. Check imdb.

  8. 8

no one cares about this anymore

    ITS OLD NEWS

    stop bringing it up

  9. 9

I think he is a terrific actor and has an amazing presence … I wish him all the best

  10. 10

not a good actor eitherway. Very stale and monotonic voice. I so don't give a shit about his acting career or anything.

  11. 11

Mario, don't gloat! I know you hate this guy with a passion after he dropped the "f word" (why do we have to refer to it like that?). You seem to be all to happy to dance and piss on the grave of his career. Makes you look like a petty queen.

  12. 12

hilarious how you used the exact same slur and you have the audacity, the SHEER AUDACITY to call him out on it….. hypocrite

  13. 13

Re: Gimme More – completely agree .. if you call this website a career

  14. 14

My God you are a hypocrite just for posting this on your website.

I don't think Mel Gibson is homophobic. The press writes a lot of bullshit and of course people believe it. Either that, or Jodie just doesn't care what Mel thinks about it.

Well, Mel is working right now with a Jew (Anton Yelchin, who plays his son) and a lesbian (Jodie Foster)… go figure…

What about Mickey Rourke who is just in the media right now because he used the "f" word.

I think you have done enough to destroy this man s career after you did the same thing and seem to feel thats ok because you were upset. Put your energy into positive things and helping people …. Im just sayin

  17. 17

I think he's a good actor, he was the only reason to watch Grey's Anatomy….

People are stupid not to hire him.

  18. 18

    "Everyone's a biggot."-Dead Kennedys

  19. 19

There is ALWAYS something to be said for people like this who have an over inflated opinion of themselves and who feel the need to put other people down in order to support their feeling of superiority abut themselves. This is a very ordinary man, minimally talented who has done work anyone could do, has not accomplished anything outstanding or helpful to others, yet thought he was hot shit, with an attitude to match. The lesson is for him and everyone else: You are dispensable and replaceable and noone else, no matter who they are, has as high an opinion of you as you do of yourself. Use the wake up call to stay awake, dude.

  20. 20

If he's being "punished" for his homophobic slur and can't get work, I think that's ashame. Even Nixon got a second chance. He has done his penance and I'm sure he learned his lesson. Isaiah needs to go the indie route and make his own movies, and do stage work. He has a lot of talent. Eventually, pll will forget when the next big mess comes along. And it will.

  21. 21

We all say things we don't mean when we are upset….why should he be held accountable for ever?? I understand there should be a period of remorse and regret but then MOVE ON.

  22. 22

Perhaps Isaiah and "Carrie" Prejean could pitch a reality show based on hate and defamation to the CBN - Christian Broadcasting Network? What do you think?

  23. 23

My Perezcious is of the belief that only people who are professionally gay should be able to use profane homophobic slurs with impunity.

  24. 24

I am gay so I say all of us need to move forward from this. If we carry a grudge then were stuck in the past.

  25. 25

There are plenty of celebrities (non-black) that have done worse, and all they have gotten is a "slap" on the wrist and their careers are fine. However, due to the fact of him being black using that slur, it has made it even more challenging for him to have a full blown career. I do agree that what he did was wrong, but that is no reason to kill his career altogether. Isaiah is an excellent actor. There are a lot of great black actors out there that aren't allowed to or aren't given the chance to showcase their talents.

  26. 26

Stars have been forgiven for far worse offenses too numerous to list here. Wahsington will eventually find a job. He's a good actor.

  27. 27

He used the same slur you used, Perez…

  28. 28

How about your f-bomb Perez? Should we turn our backs on you?
All this does not matter. You will see. Tables be Turned

  29. Jaded says – reply to this

    29

So by your way of thinking you can use the F-word because you're gay, and black people can use the N-word because they are black.

Does this mean that since my dad is black and gay I can use both? No thanks.

You know what I find ridiculous? That anyone would use a derogatory term to refer to themselves. I don't understand girls calling each other bitches either.
    It's not empowering, it's degrading.

You never hear Jewish people using the K-word in any way, shape or form. Maybe it's because they value themselves and find terms like this only help to project ignorance and hatred. If you use words like this no matter what the reason you only manage to tell the world that that is all you are and all you're worth.

Since we are supposed to forgive you for using the F-word maybe you might consider doing the same thing for Isiah, and leave him alone.

  30. 30

    he's an ugly untalented person.

  31. 31

Please post full frontal nude photos of Isiah, Miss Perez.

We suspect substantial and delicious black sizemeat!

  32. 32

This makes me mad because he was so good as Dr. Burke. I mean he was really good. Why did he have to be a bigot??

  33. 33

The thing is, he is so NOT homophobic. He threw a word around , I believe Perez was guilty of it. The man has played GAY ROLES. HE PLAYS A GAY MAN IN "GET ON THE BUS". The message his character portrayed was very positive.

  34. 34

Wait, does anybody even miss this guy, um,,,,what's his name?

  35. 35

Now that TR Knight left, they should bring him back on Grey's. He's an ass, big deal, so many actors are. Burke was one of the best on the show and god knows they need a a good plot line.

  36. 36

This is absolutely ridiculous, how many people call others names and dont get this ridiculed for it. Isaiah cant be as hard as everyone says K. Heigl is to work with…they need to put him back on Grey's and make a love triangle w him Christina & Owen!! Spice up the show… TR Knight is GONE … so BRING BACK ISAIAH!!!!!!!! :)

  37. 37

PUT HIM BACK ON GREYS!!!!! CHRISTINA & OWEN & HIM NEED A LOVE TRIANGLE!! SPICE IT UP ABC!!!

  38. 38

I didn't even know he was missing from the scene. Show how much of an impact it left on me. We I do notice is that people mistake attitude and arrogance for talent.

If this actor is so great why does he need a hand out? Why can't he create his own body of work with his own money?
If his work is so great and has many fans then it wouldn't be a financial risk, right?

Although I don't take the side of the suits I do know that there is much money involved in putting together projects and they are not all guaranteed to be successful. How many shows were canceled recently?

These actors are employees and everybody involved are co-workers. Sure once a show goes through the rounds and becomes a success the actors start to feel as if they are the main reason. Everything is a team effort and every show is a business. If nobody will hire him because of his poor attitude maybe then maybe it is time for him to open up his own business, right?..

As for the people trying to turn this thing into a black issue once againnn.
There are many Africans Americans in the business and with tons of money, if you want to make it a racial issue then how about an African American investor or company puts up the money for a project? Why does the white man have to be the one to give him work? :-)

  39. 39

Polanski drugged and fucked a 13 yo in the ass, I think Washington can be forgiven

Hell you uttered the same slur, as mentioned

  40. 40

Re: MissAnthropy – He was forgiven a long time ago I believe but what does that have to do with nobody wanting Pay this actor be in a project? Life goes on and if the option is to pay a team player vs an arrogant personality who verbally abuses co-workers, who would you choose? It is not ok at Mcdonalds why would it be ok at a high paying job such as a tv of film set where all actors have to be on their A game as best as possible. Hey but if you have much faith and believe in his work then all you have to the is contact his agent and hire him :-) Looks like you have some other people on here who would pay to, that should bring you about $60 closer to the goal.

  41. 41

–Crisis expert Mike Sitrick has given reporters his professional opinion, stating his opinion that Washington may be able to turn his career around … –
    -
    -
Could you please get a real writer to create these postings?
How may more times do you need to say the word 'opinion'?

  42. 42

I really believe that Isaiah's homophobic comments are not the only reason he's not working.
Maybe he is difficult & demanding? Maybe he's an all-around bigot and no one likes to work with him? Maybe he has limited acting skills?
Maybe he's a first class jerk?
Most of the time, there's more to a story.

  43. 43

Whats the point? He's a diva, if he patches up his career now, hes just going to fuck it up again anyway. He's really not big enough of a star to get away with that kinda shit.

  44. 44

Well, I think I remember you calling someone that, and you still have a job…….people should forgive….

  45. 45

Gee hypocrite, you might want to check imdb before you say stupid shit. Looks to me like Washington's had a job or two:

    # Area Q. (2010) (pre-production) (rumored) …. Thomas Mathews

    # Love Is a Hurtin' Thing: The Lou Rawls Story (2010) (pre-production) (rumored)

  46. 46

Why does he look like a drag queen on her night off?

P.S. Pervez Hilton, aka Mario Laundromat is a fat disgusting pig-faced piece of shit who has no right to judge or criticize anyone as Mario Laundromat is pretty much the must despicable piece of filth on the planet.

  47. 47

First of all i think it's pretty shameful how you contributed to ruining a fellow minority's career knowing that it is that much more difficult for a black man or woman to get a job in hollywood…I understand it might have been offensive on set ..outside of public display to call out such names and categorizations however as a latino the fact that you have drawn this out so much to even put an update on this really is disappointing and i just don't understand why you choose to pursue it. You sit here and praise every single gay artist or actress who is in praise of the gay community however you demean or discount other minorities when you feel you want to..I totally understand and enjoy your commentary however sometimes i think you overlook the extent to which some comments affect other minorities that are not gay. I'm definitely not saying you should change your reactions but i just think you should understand that there are other minorities than gays out there that you negatively affect at times when you make certain comments. You can't be in praise of only things that suit your point of view which as an avid reader of your blog i feel as though you consistently do.

  48. 48

Didn't Perez say something positive about Isaiah a few months back? I think Isaiah marched or said something in support of the gay community.

  49. 49

Re: Yellow Peeps – limited acting abilities? I'm afraid not, the guy can act, and should be given the opportunity to act, has anyone forgotten what 'forgiveness' is?

  50. @v@ says – reply to this

    50

If he wasn't working, he'd do better to reach out to auditions, but I think he's working.

  51. 51

Polanski rapes a little girl, runs from justice for 30 years and all of Hollywood comes out to defend him after he 's finally caught. This guy calls another grown man the f word and Hollywood is screaming for his blood. Does this mean it is better to be a pedophile than a homophobe? How fucked up is that? Time to get out of Hollywood and into the real world.

  52. 52

Only "we" can use the "F" word, just like only black people can use the "N" word

  53. 53

hey, perez…remember when you "dropped the f-bomb"?

  54. 54

Buh-Bye! And, good fucking riddance. Anyway, he's old and gross.

  55. 55

I dont think it was the one incident that got him fired. He has been known as being difficult to work with. Someone that already has proven themself maybe can get away with it. He was just becoming a real name and to do something like that and throw away your career was career suicide. I dont think he will get a job and if he does he will fizzle away very quickly. Hes not that good to be such a diva. Its really sad a lot of people would kill to be on a hit show and his diva-esque behavior ruined it for him.

  56. 56

Sorry to disappoint you Perez, but Mr. Washington is an extraordinary, passionate actor. I loved him in the movie 'Love Jones,' and 'Romeo Must Die.'
    He draws you into his character. Let's keep it honest. You can not take that way from him! I am African American. I am a also a liberal. I have openly supported the rights of homosexuals {although I am a heterosexual female}
Your constant attacks on African-Americans make you appear racist. You will never be a LIASON to bridging the gap between the Black community and the gay community.

  57. 57

Isaiah WILL MAKE A COMEBACK! It's in the cards, baby!

  58. 58

PEREZ HATES HETEROSEXUALS. I'm going to press charges!

  59. 59

As a gay man, I say forgive and forget. He apologized. Life is too short to hold grudges. He should not be blacklisted.

  60. 60

    It's been three years…
yeh, it's pretty much way too late.

  61. 61

    GROSS-LOOKING! EWWWWWWW!!

  62. 62

The Bible makes the statement, "a man digeth his own pit." He made sure he had a shovel to have a go at it.

  63. 63

Perhaps an appropriate punishment would have been to give him a job starring in the next installment of either Big Momma's House or Tyler Perry's Madea franchise. Just sayin'
Give him work he's suited to.

  64. 64

So this man deserves to be completely ostracized because he, one time, uttered a negative term for a homosexual man? Does that sound about right? Look at all the shit you talk on a daily basis, Perez

  65. 65

Yeah, he should used your line:
    "you're not a f**king artist … you're a f**king f*ggot."

  66. 66

As I said before, he has been forgiven already.
Nobody wants to see him in any movies, I don't want to see him and I am a minority and most definitelyyyy not gay. I reject the BS that just because he is Black or a Minority he should be hired.
If the part calls for a Minority there are still plenty of choices out there. It is also arguable that there are less roles for opportunity as there are for Latinos, being that Blacks have had the upper hand due to Sports, and Music.

In case you haven't noticed when a person is a big arrogant a***** it comes across in their persona as it does in this picture.

To be fair if a part requires an african American then there is a large pool of talent that casting directors can choose from. But hey someone posted the IMDB projects this actor is working on, I haven't seen any of them so maybe there is no real fan base for him to pull and audience and make money.

I find it interesting that he has a similar personality as Wesley Snipes and look at what happened to Snipes career. He was also Black Diva.
