True inspiration for us all!
Both Lady GaGa and Cynthia Nixon delivered remarkable speeches at Sunday's National Equality March on the Mall in Washington D.C.
A must-watch!
Thoughts?????

Why weren't you there with us, Perez? It makes me really doubt this so-called commitment you have to the cause.
lady gaga sucks
Two THESPIANS everyone should listen to. Bahaha…
did any A list celebrities show up???? Where's Oprah? or the Movie actors??…
I'd ask if you were there, but you were busy trying to stick your dick in mickey's butt.
FAT ASS
a huge number of NOs!!! no good cause needs an attention whore like that! if you have to say something, show your fugly face, not your wigs and sunglasses collection. that`s no inspiration, just a big no-go! and the only remarkable thing about it is, that once again she sucks so much that i can`t believe it.
GOD MADE EVERY MAN EQUAL
SOME OF YOU GUYS MAKE POOR CHOICES
haha Gaga is crazy… "ARE YOU LISTENING?!" Sad I couldn't be there
Re: misha- – YES SHE DOES! SHE SUCKS PEREZ DICK
Re: ihypes – LOL
Just like a man! Out playing, while the wifey is trying to change the world, to make life better for YOU PEREZ!!
Gaga truley is amazing! She spoke very well! WOW.
EQUALITY FOR EVERYONE!!
I HOPE WHEN YOU DIE YOUR WEBSITE SHUTS DOWN!!!
HAPPIEST DAY OF MY LIFE!
Why weren't you there? Afraid to go?
This is why our movement is having such a hard time… people speaking on our behalf that are complete idiots. Gaga = retard, worst spokesperson we could possibly have.
Brought me to tears… amazing speakers!
Why is she even a spokesperson for this cause?! I know she has a lot of gay fans but she wouldn't have a clue what any of them go through on a daily basis. I'm suprised you're not in the background licking her ass Perez! Get a better offer?
SHUT UP AND DANCE!
public speaking is not gaga's strong point.
GIVE US GAYS WHAT WE WANT!!!!!!
ARE WE NOT FREE????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
As a gay person I find these marches and rallies quite amusing. I am gay, therefore I'm not interested in getting married or trying to emulate any institution that straight people can't seem to get right either. As far as the military, at the end of the day Im not that willing to risk my life for this country, so I dont CARE about what its' policies are. Thirdly, as a gay person of color, I SOOO sick and tired of hearing about and people whining about the Matthew Shepard murder. Its really interesting that his memory has become this beacon for gays to refer to when we talk about gay hate crime. What about young people like Sakia Gunn, the young gay girl in NJ who was stabbed and killed in broad daylight, or the countless other people of color who have died? Oh I forgot, people of color, especially blacks, in the gay world are just as we are in the world at large, invisible and seemingly worthless.
Re: smeagle – Bingo
This movement is doomed if it can't come up with more competent spokespeople.
Re: hot_homo – racist piece of shit!
Re: JokerBaby – NOPE YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO GET MARRIED BUT ALLOWED TO HAVE GAY SEX!
WHATS NEXT??? LET MURDERERS FREE?
LET ME MARRIE A DOG??? APOCALYPSE IS COMING SOONER THEN EVER!
WE ARE DIGGING OUR OWN GRAVES!
Re: blueboy – dont worry its ALREADY doomed! thanx to perez and his gay wife
::sigh:: Wish I could have been there. I was there in spirit!
Cynthia Nixon's speech was astounding and really hit the nail on the head.
I've seen Judy Shepard speak before. She does amazing work for the cause as a result of her family's terrible tragedy. She is incredibly eloquent and a truly great spokesperson for the GLBT community.
PEREZ IS A DISGRACE TO GAY COMMUNITY
What a joke.
let's also remember that cynthia nixon didn't come out until AFTER she made her MILLION$$$$$ and way AFTER that hayday of her show (and i'm not talking about the shit-ass moves). brave?!? i hardly think so.
What does this make me think. It makes me think that while I wish marches like this made a difference, Barney Frank is right, it's a waste of time. It's been done before and it was likely ignored by the politicians who need to be steered right. Marches like this are like preaching to the choir. The only ones who notice are the people already on your side. Adding Gaga is an insult to say the least. Pasting celebrities on the cause can only accomplish so much and I doubt ANYONE who matters in Washington is going to take someone who spilled fake blood all over her body and fake hanged herself very seriously. And that's just the beginning of her juvenile fame-whore antics.
Re: willy949 – do u know how ignorant u sound comparing equality to someone marrying their dog? I mean come on it's a fucking ANIMAL .. whether u like gay people or not they are still human beings
damn lady gaga shore is a smashin' hot laady!
it's official! it's commendable of lady gaga to publicly support gay rights, but her speech was disingenuous (this is the most important moment of my career), lacks in depth (our generation, my generation), and is not even entertaining (i love judy garland). i was embarrassed for her. so many other unknowns could have moved the nation with their words.
nixon, on the other hand, was poignant (shared national interest), direct (passing legislation, repealing legislation and putting obama to the test), and moving (understanding this is beyond marriage, it's about equal responsibility, rights and protection under the law). she didn't deserved to be put in the same category as gaga as giving "remarkable speeches."
Re: hot_homo –
Go listen to some Donna Summer and shut the F@@k up.
We do NOT live in a free country. Especially when there are so many laws preventing people from exercising their freedoms. Pot, gay marriage and prostitution need to be legalized.
loved it
She is the new princess of Pop++shut up stupids shitney fans!!hahaha
Re: hot_homo – you dont even know what youre talking about!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! shut up
lady gaga is a famewhore. she doesn't want equality! she want's you gays to buy her albums! if she were sincere she woudn't have dressed up. she wouldn't have blabla'ed about herself. she sickens me.
.
BUT! Gays of the world! fight for your rights! don't ever let anyone bring you down! i really hope you'll be able to marry, but i'd rather see gay people having their basic rights respected, like in eastern countries!!
Why are some people here so damn hateful? If you don't like Perez, okay. I don't,either. However this site is a gay mans site and it's no place for homophobic bullshit. This is NOT about race,it's about equality, regardless of color. We're ALL in this together, people. If we start putting each other down, how will we ever truly have equality? Matt Shepard's name is always brought up because his mom refuses to let her son die in vain. I know what it's like to lose a dear friend to death because he was gay. He was stabbed to death and the cops just could care less. I was questioned because I was his friend. The cops were fucking idiots. They were smirking the whole time.
THIS is what it's about! That we're taken seriously. Stop with the mean bullshit. What difference does it make in peoples lives who aren't gay? NONE!
Just learn to live and let live. How friggen hard is that?
We all have to live on this planet, together. Wouldn't it be a much better life and we could accept that we're all different?
We're NOT asking for"special" rights. Just the SAME rights that's afforded all people. Is that so hard to understand?
Remember this: Gay people are everywhere. We work in all jobs. The Dr. who just saved your life, may be gay! Would THAT matter?
Let's just try to live our lives and let others live theirs, without all the bullshit and hate. Is that really a hard thing to do?
I love her voice
gaga is a joke.
Lady gaga has some ovaries!!.. Screaming at the president like that, with those ugly sunglasses lol
Persuading middle America to buy into gay marriage won't happen with events and spokespeople like this. "Lady gaga"??? I voted against gay marriage last year but might reconsider if the issue ever comes up again. This silliness could change no minds, but it certainly could harden them.
Hate OUT…. Equility IN !
Someone please tell Mr. Cynthia Nixon that here teeth look horrible. Also tell her she lives in a 1st world country with Dentists and she should visit one this decade.
Gay people deserve the same rights we all have! Amazing to see celebrities speak up!
Re: DesertKate – this march wasnt about asking for gay marriage. it was about demanding gay marriage. what lady gaga said is respectable. if you have a hard mind then thats your problem, gay rights are inevitable, with or without you vote.
Cynthia Nixen's speech was perfect and dead on. Lady Gaga's was fine. I applaud them both for standing up for equality. It is ridiculous that we have different laws for different "categories" of people….so wrong.
There are many ways we could start "defending" marriage that does NOT including restricting gays from marrying.
We could start by not allowing couples to marry in Vegas while intoxicated….or not allowing quickly anulments….or not allowing online businesses to help married people find affairs, or close swinger clubs, etc etc etc. There are PLENTY of things already screwed up in the institution of marriage, and it's a joke that people seem to think loving gay and lesbian couples are going to "wreck" it….ugh. I hate stupid people.
EQUAL RIGHTS!! FOR ALL! What the HELL is the debate??
ehm.. 2:30 ?! haha.. weird. good. every famous person that has influence should stand up for sth
What is wrong with you people who are attacking what lady gaga wore, or what cynthia nixon looks like. What you people are saying are shallow, disgusting and what feeds hate. I'm sure those who are commenting in such a hateful way are just nobodies preying on others to give their self-esteem a boost, but do it on another page. These two ladys stood up to say something of importance about equal rights and how are nation is refusing to represent us all. We live in the 21 century and it is long over due to give everyone the same rights. It's not just about marriage. It's about giving protection to this group of people and breaking down the barrier that separates us from them. And there should not even be an "us" and "them". These people deserve to have our rights. If their forced to pay our taxes, follow our laws, and abide by the same rules and regulation our gov't hold us by, these people should be represented, and respected the same. Shame on you who hold such hate in your heart to exclude individuals for their choice on choosing who they love. We have an awful future to come if we continue this hate. Please open your minds and hearts people.
Re: Desideratum – FAIL. her teeth are fine.
This was posted yesterday on JoeMyGod. You rushed to post Gaga's performance yesterday but the important speeches you waited on. More and more you are being beat to the punch.
Re: DesertKate – Hi, i would like to understand your choice in voting against gay marriage. Not to mock you, or to attack you. I'd like to just understand where you are coming from.
Haha! GAGA is a fucking moron. Fugly as hell and a horrible speaker.
Re: mario_pimple_Dick – What are you talking about?? You know her personally? Because she did not make it public that she was gay until years into her career makes her less brave? It's because of the ridicule people recieve when they come out being gay is the reason so many hide it. AND ITS NON OF ANYONE'S BUSINESS TO KNOW. Shes famous because she makes movies. Thats her job. Her job is not to allow everyone access to her personal life. Do we go around making it known people are straight? no! so why should gays? Hopefully there comes a day where people stop asking the question if your gay or straight and just look and an individual as an individual. Cynthia nixon is brave. Brave for coming out on her own terms and own time. And brave for speaking in Washington…What brave thing have you ever done like this? Ever stand in front of a sea of people and demand to be respected because the place you live in wont? I'm sure thats a no. And i'm sure by your past comments your nothing but a coward yourself. Start standing up for whats right and stop ridiculing people.
Re: hot_homo – As a straight person who stands up and is an activist for homosexuals, I'm so bothered by the fact you posted that garbage. 1st..Matthew Shepard. How dare you say a thing like that about him. IT HAPPEND 11 YEARS AGO!!!! Ofcourse people bring him up when hate crimes are committed..he died a fucking horrible way!! i suggest you read up on it. and the fact it happend 11 years ago, and people are still fighting for protection/rights/respect . And yes that boy who was killed in NJ should be mentioned. All those who are victim of hate crimes should be mentioned. And sure, you don't care about military or marriage. But for those who do want to protect our country and fight, if their gay, they should be protected and have rights. And for marriage..Its about having protection. You cant share health care, and if your loved one dies…THEIR MONEY DIES WITH THEM AND YOUR LEFT WITH NOTHING BUT A BURDEN TO PAY FOR A FUNERAL. YOUR GOV'T IS SAYING FUCK YOU. This has nothing to do with being of color. And someone who is of color, you should be fighting for equal rights as well. Remember when our country said fuck you and wouldnt let you vote? drink the same water as us whites or walk on the same side or the road? IM SURE YOU DONT! bc we live in a time where we include all groups of people. BUT NOT THE GAYS. bc well, their gay. What you said was ignorant/hurtful and a horrendous representation of a homosexual. poor you.
Re: caitym16 – The primary reason I voted against gay marriage was the whole tenor of the pro-gay marriage campaign. It was dominated here not by reasonable voices who wished to explain or persuade but by foul mouthed people who DEMANDED what they say are their "rights". Anyone who questioned, doubted or opposed them were all labeled as "haters". Once you've been called names, dialogue pretty much ends. Look at some of the posts on this site, for example. maybe the people here are inured to frequent use of filthy language, but I and most of the people I know are not. There were qute a few pieces on the news during the campaign in which gay demonstrators confronted opponents and the name calling was XXXX rated.
I also disliked what seemed to be a pretty virulent anti-Christian sentiment among so many. I'm a garden variety Catholic, but I find such attacks against other churches very disturbing.
Anyway, I began with an open mind and undecided on how I'd vote, as I do have questions about the issue beyond how many gay people presented themselves during the campaign. But ultimately, it was that public presentation that was the root of my decision- if it was a true representation of the gay community, then I felt that community was very unstable and unhealthy.
But, as I said, if it comes up for a vote again, I might reconsider.
Thank you so much for posting these speeches Perez. Both Lady GaGa and Cynthia Nixon gave a heartfelt and inspirational speech. Hearing them talk makes me even more proud to be gay! While I don't always agree with everything you do I want to thank you Perez for using your position to push things forward for the LGBT community. For that you are a truly fine gentleman. We love you!
All I have to say is WOW!!! These 2 had such poignant speeches; they were truly inspiring! I never understood why equality was an issue, and after listening and watching the rally, kudos to all who have fought for the right to be human AND American. Equal rights to all!!
umm again… i think there are a few more important things going on in the world right now, not that this isnt important, but the dude has only been president for 9 months, fucking wait.
Re: Mickey9661 – Well said. I support the community because I have lots of friends and family in the community working hard
to make it better. I did watch the Sunday's speech! But, I think what you
just wrote sums it all up!
Both of their speeches were beautiful & moving. I hope that very soon all my LGBT friends will have the rights that I enjoy today. Thank you for posting this.
GAGA ID S MORON N SOOOOOOOOOO LAME! N NO IM NT A HATER!
I LOVE GAGA
I listened to her scream "ARE YOU LISTENING??" over and over and over. And I cried.
Re: DesertKate – P.S. is the straight community stable and healthy???????????????????????
your generalizations are quite ignorant!
well i thought they did brilliantly
I agree. Where are the heavy hitters for this movement? Gay politicians. Gay people in Hollywood (we're know you're out there). It's wonderful to have straight advocates, but unless they're in a position to really help the cause, their sentiments aren't enough. Keep knocking on Barack's door. He IS listening, but he needs to put his equality where his mouth is!
those were good speeches, but they really need to pump the breaks on the Obama insults…he's been in office for a grand total of 10 months…there are things that hold precedence over gay rights at this moment in time for the country.
Re: willy949 – Wow. You are an idiot. Your ignorance should morally hold you back from commenting on anything important. Also, learn how to spell.
Lady Gaga is my hero!!
two very inspirational speeches.

Amazing words. Lada Gaga is so well spoken and Cynthia's words to Mrs. Sheppard were tear jerking. I hope something gets done soon to make our country finally equal.
Hey HOT-HOMO,
First, I doubt you're even gay. I'm not gay and was SO moved by Cynthia's speech and why taking up this cause is important.
Second, how about the parents of the gay people of color actually stand up and do something?!?!?! The reason why people mention Matt Shepard is b/c his mother has done A LOT for gay rights since his murder.
Re: willy949 –
Maybe you shouldn't come to this site if it's so offensive to you. Tard.
Re: Desideratum –
I can't think of anything less relevant that you could have posted on here.
homosexuality is not of God
Re: FugsMagee – You're retarded.
Re: natalee777 – Seriously, I'm thinking the same thing.
i had no clue about the matthew shepard story since i don`t live in america.
then i heard the - truely inspiring - cynthia nixon announcing his mother. finally found judy shepard`s speach on itube.
she really nails it on the head.
not asking obama, if he hears HER.
why don`t you promote this video on your site, perez? instead of shoving once again a whole camera team into caca`s ass?
question still is: that`s about whom?
lady caca and you or equal rights?
At least Lady GaGa and Cynthia Nixon took the time to lend their celebrity to a good cause.
More famous people should support causes of their choice.
NO WONDER SHE WEARS COSTUMES…SHE'S FUCKIN UGLY….
These two women are truly amazing for standing up for what they believe. In a world where everyone should be treated equal some still are not, gay, lesbian, bisexual and trans gender people are human beings just as all the straight people in the world. As a gay boy growing up in the UK I can say with full passion and experience that this world needs to get in order and give everyone the right to love. There should be no labels of sexuality, everyone should be free to love and marry who they chose. The heart knows no bounds.
Re: Paris France/Sheba – Thanks! And thanks for being open minded. We need more people like you,in the world!
Do you all think Lady Gaga cares what you say on a website? Even Perez? If you hate Perez why get on his site? You just keep logging on, posting, and making him more money. I love Lady Gaga, her speech and Perez. So what? Everyone has thier own opionion. Maybe someday gay marrige will be legalized. You just gotta keep trying.
Lady gaga does not love the gay community or she would have dressed up like a big pink dildo. That's just me. Furthermore you guys take it in the butt. See what i just did there? I'm a nobody that just said something that will get a rise out of dozens here. And yet Perez Hilton gets media coverage for drawing cocks on peoples faces, picking on lil kids, and getting punched in the face. Most need to realize that he only represents you the gays when it's 'hip, cool, or whatever trendy word he comes up with' honestly. I don't commend Perez Hilton on anything here. All he did was copy and paste. He could/can dedicate a website to the battle instead of fashion week, and who said what. He is not going to save you by reporting who wore white after labor day. People need to realize that he's no savior but he is the guy that will make money selling crosses and replicated rubber thorn halos.
Who the hell is Lady Gaga to be giving a speech at this event? She is not our patron saint or spokesperson.
Re: smeagle –
–Why weren't you there? Afraid to go?–
-
Be glad he wasn't - the cause needs credibility.
Bad enough Gaga was there.
Re: caitym16 – bravo well said
Re: sugarplum daisy – there are various gods…u need to be more specific about what god u speak of….
wow gaga was actually inspirational
Im moved by the passion that all of those people have, I wish I could have been there! Ive been descriminated against for being bi sexual, and it needs to stop, if all races are equal why arnt all sexualitys equal? Obama is a fraud for saying that hes all about change and nothing has changed!
Love both of them!
Re: Karma_Chameleon – I would assume because she's bisexual?
i think the president has more important things on his plate right now
Re: willy949 – It's people like you that are ruining the world. 50 years ago you'd be saying the same thing about black people. Bash Perez and the gays all you want, it is clear that YOU are what is WRONG with society!!!
