After pregnancy and engagement rumors, Penelope Cruz cemented any preconceived notions with a stunning ring on that special finger of commitment.

Penelope's bling was a stunning knuckle-sized sapphire surrounded by small diamonds. It was quite the statement to wear to the premiere of her film Broken Embraces in NYC on Sunday.

The actress would not talk about what the ring signified, but we know one thing for sure - Javier Bardem has great taste!

    the outfit is a miss altogether. it looks like she took a pretty unimaginative halter gown dress and topped it with pieces of a black zip up hoodie ripped up and sewn back together. she always wears black

    That hem on her dress looks AWFUL! how can you honestly go to a premier with a dress so long that the hem is all shredded looking??? Very tacky!

    Did anyone see 'Vicky, Christina Barcelona?' Bardem and Cruz did an excellent job in the movie. I think she's a great actress. Love the nail polish, but not feeling the dress, though. Bardem and Cruz need to hurry up and get married already!

    Just have to say..am really disappointed in Penelope for supporting that child rapist, sodomiser, Polanski! What a creep!
    What is it with these celebrities that absolve these derelict directors just because they all want to have the status of working with them. Can't stand Woody Allan either.
    Wonder if she would still think it was OK if her 13 year old niece disclosed she was raped at 13 by a neighbor.
