Last night, a photog was "accidentally" run over by a chauffeur whose passenger was none other than Robbie Williams! And get this - the pap was a teenager!
Poor little guy!
The kid got trapped under the vehicle as both of his legs were run over. People on the scene say that Robbie was visibly upset inside the car after the accident, though he made no personal attempt to get out and check on him. His handlers quickly transferred him to another car while police responded to the scene and the pap was taken to the hospital. Thankfully, his injuries are minor.
But the emotional damage will probably last a lifetime- and cost Robbie a bundle!

Robbie wasn't driving the car, why should he get sued? This is what is wrong with Americans, they are all sue happy! Well this was in England, and there they are not as tolerant of frivolous lawsuits. I think the driver should face some kind of punishment, and pay for all the poor kids bills, but Robbie didn't cause this. If anything the photag should stay out of the way!!

Why should anyone but the pappo be responsible? You don't go near a moving car. How do we know he didn't get tripped up by some other pappo and fall and was accidentally run over? If they all stayed a safe distance away from moving vehicles this type of thing wouldn't happen. Let this be a lesson for all of the papparazi, STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM MOVING VEHICLES!

Unless you're suggesting that the driver took the car onto the pavement, the only way this could have happened is if the little twat paparazzi jumped in front of the car.
Yea it is said but next time done stand in front of or with your feet under the side of the car…Eventually people have to leave they cant stay there for hours for you to get a picture…I think these things are totoally different than running over some random person in a parking lot these are idiots blocking the way mobbing your vehicle.

The pap should not have gotten in the way. Robbie should not be held responsible if some idiot with a camera has it pressed up against his window. There is no fault for Robbie here (but a check on the "victim" would have been nice). The driver too will likely not be at fault if they got in the way of his ability to drive (this is different from accelerating from a stop and purposefully running someone down). Hard to have any sympathy for the Paps, but I do feel when celebrities are out in public they are fair game, but perhaps the Paps should consider the car an extension of the home. A place for privacy and the pic is not worth the risk of loosing your lives.

I think it's crazy that you think a celebrity should be held accountable when a pap gets so close to their car they can be run over! If you want to stay safe, take pics of the celebs when they aren't inside a moving deadly object. I understand freedom of the press (and since he was a teenager is he even part of the press?) and all but if photographers are going to jump in front of cars like that is it really the driver's responsibility to swerve to miss them? Plus, I really wouldn't be surprised if some of these people try to get hit for the money fromt he celebs!
Maybe eventually the paps will learn to get real jobs and leave people alone. It's no different than shooting an intruder, as far as I'm concerned.

There need to be laws against paparazzi. If a pap (no matter the age, race, ethnicity, what-have-you) gets in the way of a vehicle that's trying to move and gets hit or run over, the driver nor anyone in the vehicle should be responsible (unless, of course, a pap was purposely run over/hit). The paps put themselves in harms way just to get a stupid picture and I'm sure some of them put themselves in harms way on purpose to try get a lawsuit and some extra bucks.
And yeah, yeah, yeah I know the paps come with being a celebrity. But all paps do is harass the celebrities and also inconvenience innocent bystanders when they're crowing a sidewalk or jumping in the way of cars. Sometimes they even put innocent lives in danger by chasing celebrities down roads and highways in their cars (some of the paps that have done this were unlicensed!), weaving in and out traffic, holding up traffic and sometimes even hitting people/their cars.
Most paps are scum and need to learn a little respect. Life does not revolve around celebrities and most people don't care that you saw Miley Cyrus shoveling food into her mouth at some restaurant or Nicole Ritchie walking down the street. I don't know why mags or other agencies would want to buy pics like that anyway.

Why couldn't the kid see the car even if he was trying to get that big money pic? I would think he could have seen through the lens. I don't know - just that it is a bad situation all around. Of course Williams was upset who wouldn't be? Why couldn't the driver see him? Another thing how did the kid end up on the ground in the first place to be ran over? Was this kid pushed or trampled by other photogs?

Let's set the record straight, the fact that Robbie williams was crying when the kid got hit, means that he was just as shocked as anyone. He did leave the car, after it all calmed down a bit. He's a decent man, and I'd appreciate it if you stopped making him out to be the bad guy.
He wasn't the one driving the car, he didn't give the order to do it. So stop acting as if there's no blame to the kid and it's all robbie's doing.
The reason why you're all on the paps side is because you are one, yourself and it's well known that scum sticks together. Of course you'll be the one rooting for the kid because we all know that if this event had been taken place in LA you would've been right there.
