Carly Simon Suing Starbucks!

Singer Carly Simon is not pleased with Starbucks and their promotion of her 2008 album This Kind of Love. So naturally she's suing them!
The album's price was slashed after lackluster sales and Simon attests that by Starbucks not promoting the album to her standards before cutting the price, the company "stigmatized" her album as one "that could not be sold at full price."
Starbucks doesn't seem too threatened saying that even after heavier promotion in the New York and Boston areas, "sales continued to lag as the title received tepid response from music consumers."
A bomb is a bomb, Carly!
Better just get over it and move on to the next one!

She looks good. I like her older tunes from the late 1960s/early 1970s. Yeah, kind of sounds like bitter grapes because the album simply didn't sell.
I, for on, would haveDEFINITELY purchased the CD IF I had known about it!!! Starbucks did a poor job!!!!!!!!!!
Carly is a legend and jut based on that alone, the CD would have sold IF thy had properly promoted it!

She is and always has been a brilliant artist. Problem is you're marketing it at a suck-hole like Starbucks. Sweetpiece… you are right. Unfortunately, we're just showing our age when we bitch about the damn "kids these days." Too young to understand what a slap in the face it is to hear, "who the fuck is this and who gives a shit." Can you imagine saying that about Bobby Darin for example to our parents?

We are so excited about Gustavo Dudamel joining the LA Philharmonic! What he is doing to expose new generations to a variety of music is inspirational! Just last week, Flea played with kids from the Silverlake Conservatory and they were amazing!
There is so much to hear and learn from.
