Michael Jackson has been nominated for five American Music Awards this year, including artist of the year.
The King of Pop will battle it out for the honor with Lady Gaga, Eminem, Kings of Leon and Taylor Swift. However, the winners of each category are determined by fans through online voting, so you have to figure that Jackson fans will be going out in droves to make sure he wins.
Not that he doesn't deserve it, of course. Would be nice if any of the others stood a chance!

LMAO, well geez it seems like no country or should I say no portion of a country is good enough for you huh?? All of the prestigous awards that Michael receivied and is still receiving comes from all around the world. From the biggest, most well known places of the world. To the most dense populated, un-heard of corners of the world. Michael never needed an award to prove that he is the Artist of the Millinium because his accomplishments, record sales, ticket sales, and popularity already proved and still proves that. And you mention something about Michael having to have a worker go around the world to request awards for him… Please! People wanted to award him just not because he deserved it, but also because they wanted to hopefully get him to their show. Michael wasn't egotistic at all. He didn't even keep awards in his possesion. He didn't need awards around to remind him of how talented and popular he was. The ball is now in your court… Oh and BTW, sense your so buddy, buddy with Perez can you please inform him that he no longer has to show that picture anymore because I have now moved on to another???
