A man named John Marcotte, creator and writer of BadMouth.net, is working to collect signatures on a new bill called the "California Protection of Marriage Act." The bill would make divorce illegal in California.

Why would he do such a thing, you ask? Well, ask yourself this:

If gay Americans aren't allowed to sully the vows of traditional married, why should straight people be allowed to get divorced? Isn't that worse?

Don't think so? Watch this PSA to be proven wrong. (above)

if this is a satire then it completely get it. i am in full support of gay marriage and think its awful that an entire group of people are denied the basic rights of heterosexual couples in america. IF this is actually for real, which i have a hard time believing it is, then i think this is the dumbest bill. When you marry somebody you expect to spend the rest of your life with them, but when you marry a person and they become abusive, cheat on their spouses, or controlling then anybody should be able to get a divorce. If a law banning divorce is created because of the religious aspect of marriage, then atheists shouldn't be allowed to get married. I believe that this bill, if it is for real, is the dumbest thing ever created. Nobody should be denied their rights if they are unhappy and in a damaging, or dangerous, marriage.

Does no one understand that this is a parody of the videos they made in support of prop 8? They talk about gays getting married ruining the 'sanctity of marriage', when marriage success rates are constantly going down. The point is to make you think, and hopefully realise just how stupid anti-gay marriage beliefs are.
