Weezer To Work With Katy Perry!

What a fabulous pairing of musical minds!
Rivers Cuomo of Weezer has revealed that he will be working with the delightful Katy Perry on her next album saying that they will be "writing together next week. Can't wait."
Cool!
Katy herself has just headed back in the studio this week to start working on the new album which she has said is going to be very different from her smash record One of the Boys.
"I'm kind of thinking I want to do my record like a mesh between 'Lovefool' by the Cardigans and ['The Sign'] by Ace of Base. I want to make songs that people want to hold hands and roller-skate to.
I'm not looking to alienate my fans, but I can't be that grown-up Shirley Temple girl wearing the stupid strawberry in her hair all the time…because I'd kill myself or someone else would for me. So I'm really excited to always be evolving and changing — with my look, with my music, it keeps me entertained as well."
Can't wait to hear your new sound, Katy!

Really cool that she's inspired by only swedish bands (the cardigans & ace of base) for her new record. Thair sund is great so hers should be to! Can't wait to hear it

People throw around the "I'd kill myself" phrase a little to much for my liking.
They both put out DORK music so it's quite fitting.
i think she needs to get out of her bubble that she actually has music talent
Re: Chandler – Re: i_am_mb – Do you always believe what you see? The lighting there is the obvious reason she looks like that. The paparazzi cameras have a flash and a focal point detector to make sure the face is lit up, and therefore it darkens the other parts of the pictures. Did you see her on TV that night? It's from the VMA's, you can see in the background… I don't throw this around lightly, but she looked flawless.
Weezer sucks! They were only awesome for their first 2 albums, so it's really no wonder they're pairing up with the skanky likes of katy hairy
Weezer sucks now, they were only good for their 1st 2 albums. They and Katie Hairy deserve each other,

i love them both! but don't know if her 'new music' will work out. one of the boys was gooood
