Beyonce Postpones Malaysia Show; Conservative Muslims Find Her "Immoral"
We've called her a lot of things, but we would never suggest that she lacks morality!
Beyonce had a show slated for Malaysia next week, but has now postponed the show, allegedly because of Islamic extremist criticism of her performing style. Due to her "provocative clothes and choreography", conservatives of the Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party think that the show would be "immoral" and should be cancelled because it would promote "Western sexy performances."
Though the event promoters would not confirm if the postponement was in response to these statements, they did confirm that the show would be rescheduled for a " future date to be announced shortly." Whether that will come to pass or not will soon be seen.
But if Avril Lavigne and Gwen Stefani can make it work in Malaysia, than surely B can too!

People have developed a lot of misconceptions about Islam and hence the anger and hatred here. After 9/11 I've studied it extensively to understand it and I'm glad I did. Its not as extreme as it has been made out to be.

Same problem with Islam and muslims. Islam teaches one thing, muslims go out and do the opposite. (not all of them of course)

"There is no compulsion in religion"
So the extremists who forcefully try to convert others to their own way of thinking, or preventing others from converting, are clearly going against the teachings of the Koran and committing a sin.
According to Islam killing one human is equal to killing the entire humanity. But the extremists ignore it and bomb themselves and others, paving a path straight to hell.
Muhammad said the best thing you can do for your children, especially your daughters, is to provide them with education. But the opposite has been going on in countries like Afghanistan.
Those with a little bit of brain power can see the point here. It is not Islam that is the cause of suffering and violence in the Muslim worlds or crimes committed by muslims men toward others but those men themselves. Why? Because the are as imperfect as any western man is. There are bad seeds everywhere.

sure, Beyonce is a great talented performer and all. I think it's a good thing to not wear too revealing clothes, just to respect the religions and culture in Malaysia.

okey, so im a Malaysian, and i have to say that some Malaysian find postponing the concert really stupid, almost all the tickets are sold out and all ticket holders were really dissapointed that the concert was postponed. and another thing, different people have different beliefs okey? you people have no right to be posting these racist comments, you guys think that saying muslims suck and all that bullshit,we all arent terrorists you know? its just really wrong. alot of people in Malaysia LOVE beyonce, and we really want her to come. the islamic group wanting the ban is just ONE group that doesnt speak for all the Malaysian people.

It is a wonderful thing to not have a religion that encourages me to hate other people without getting to know any of them. It is simple, you haven't met them - how can you hate all of them….granted there are a few fucked up ones, there is a group of fucked up ones, but not every single muslim and islamic person is like that. Here's the deal.. Everytime a foreign artiste schedules a concert here,that party calls for a ban,n threatens to protest.. U name it,Avril,Gwen,Linkin Park, even Michael Learns To Rock..!! Yes,they did protest those artistes,but the concerts went on without a hitch.. That party just likes to open their big mouths n talk about banning evrything.. But no 1 really cares what they say.. Sure,it alwasy gets in the papers,but no 1 really cares.. Cz they do it for evry foreign artiste.. Sad, I know.. But the majority of the people in Malaysia disagree with the party,n think that it's not right for them to dictate what we can n cant watch.. Theyre not the government..! I hope Beyonce goes on with the concert to show them that they need to STFU.. N as for people worried about beyonce's safety,dont worry,Malaysia isnt that kinda country.. Are petitioning for children in schools to be banned from wearing crosses, (because it's apprantley offensice to them) even though it has and always will be a christian country. They are the majority in some small villages, and are trying to make these villages independent states. They are murdering macedonian christians who drive through these villages. These are facts. If you want to have a conversation about this, try to make a comprehensive argument without using fould language. This also happened in Serbia in what is now Kosovo. It's happening in various villages throughout Russia, too.

What I do have a problem with is extremist groups and militia who populate an area, then force the locals out in order to create their own islamic state. That is bulling and it is not right. I have no issue with muslims who believe in freedom for everyone. They can follow what religion they want and I follow the one I want. They don't push their agenda on me, and I don't push mine on them. I respect them by not serving pork at parties and my house, and they respect me by coming over for easter lunch.
