Angelina Jolie Takes On Gucci

Director Ridley Scott has tapped Miz Angelina Jolie to star in the upcoming Fox 2000 drama, Gucci.
Jolie is set to play the role of Patrizia Reggiano, the ex-wife of the late former Gucci head, Maurizio Gucci. Reggiano was sentenced to 29 years behind bars for successfully hiring a hit man to kill Gucci in 1995.
The film is aiming to capture the "glamorous days" of the "Gucci family dynasty" of the 70's and 80's up until Maurizio's tragic murder in the 90's.
Gucci is expected to begin production in 2010, with the studio still hunting around for a screenwriter to pen the Gucci family story.
We're excited!
It sounds like it's shaping up to be an amazing film!!!

Hello. Why the hell is she adopting more kids when she is working so much, supposedly. Her kids spend no time making their own friendships before the are moved again. It is SO not OK to create your own environment for your children and rob them of the social experience of making their own friends, Shame on you "Santa Angelina". Just because your family sucked doesn't mean you should manipulate your kids maturation. Concentrate on your family.

I read the book about the events that led to the contract killing of maurizio gucci and I guess I can see this whore playing patrizia since she looks very manipulating. I read they want leo to play maurizio and he is definitely not a good fit. I hope they add the historical part to the movie. the book was terrific.

I remember this story. I saw a documentary about it awhile ago on cable. It was pretty interesting how involved the family interacted and how they all vied against each other to control Gucci until it had to be sold. BTW, no one really thinks about it but the mob is still alive in Europe and has a say in many of the businesses and fashion houses there. This is a movie I would actually see. I like movies about something, like biopics & real life events.

Does anybody watch Angelina's movie? She's so boring and overrated. Who care about Gucci when a lot of people are out of work and no health care? I'd rather see Dominic Dunn's shows on Court TV! Mario stop promoting your gal - she doesnt' even know who you are or doesn't want to know!
Angie is very talented and will do well at any character she plays in. Can't wait to see this new movie.
