Rumors have floated around forever that Whitney Houston liked to play for both teams (at least when it came to her assistant, Robin Crawford) and that her marriage to Bobby Brown was for show…and blow.
Now, feeding the to bi-fires, Bobby talks about the rumors in his new memoir, Bobby Brown: The Truth, the Whole Truth and Nothing But.… The book is out next month, but we have an excerpt for you to enjoy, in which Bobby touches upon the rumors and the truth:
" [Their marriage] was doomed from the very beginning… I think we got married for all the wrong reasons. Now, I realize Whitney had a different agenda than I did when we got married . . . I believe her agenda was to clean up her image, while mine was to be loved and have children.
The media was accusing her of having a bisexual relationship with her assistant, Robin Crawford. Since she was the American Sweetheart and all, that didn't go too well with her image . . . In Whitney's situation, the only solution was to get married and have kids. That would kill all speculation, whether it was true or not."

When I worked for Whitneys record label, back-in-the-day she used to come to our floor to discuss album art. Most of the time it was Robin Crawford who'd come in to approve things. It was common knowledge even back then that Robin was Whitneys girlfriend/lover. Just sayin'…!

I believe it to be true, Whitney was at the sould train music awards and was booed, previously Bobby had performed and was well received, Whitney was presenting an award that night. Whitney had been battling rumors about her and Robin for years and considered a sellout by the black community, wrongly so. Whitney saw in Bobby a way to gain street cred and dispel rumors of being a lesbian. And remember Whitney and her brother were arrested for drugs long before she met Bobby. I personally think Bobby is gettin a bad deal for her comeback, if you looked at their reality show she appeared to be the dominant one because of her earnings and she didn't have any qualms about letting him know.
