The Vampire Diaries Gets A Full Season!

Looks like the vampire trend isn't going anywhere soon!
The CW ordered a full season of its latest and what seems to be its only hit at the moment, The Vampire Diaries.
The show is currently the most-watched on the network and raked in 3.9 million viewers during last week's episode.
As for the lackluster Melrose Place, the CW has ordered only 5 more episodes and seems to be holding out to see if the ratings will spike at all with the return of Heather Locklear.
And if Heather can't save it, we don't think anyone can.
Asslee Simpson could end up sharing the same fate as Mushy Fartone!

MP isnt soo bad…Ashlee's character is the best one on the show.
I can't help myself. The story is interesting. The books were recommended to me YEARS ago, and now I can kind of figure out why.
im really starting to like melrose place i dont like ashlee simpson i find her soo annoying but she can really act shes good on playing a psychopath ..and i like katie cassidy she reminds me soo much of amanda

I love the vampire diaries…to be honest it makes more sense than twilight. the gurl is actually AFRAID of the vampire…and not all like OH ITS OK! I LOVE YOU EDWARD!! and the guy is actually hott?? and there is good conflict and the guy isnt all dramam and sacrafices himself to the voulturi or whatever….

Melrose isnt a bad show but Ashlee Simpson's character is annoying. Not even one you'd love to hate, just one nobody could care less about. Write her off the show please so that the show has a fighting chance to make it.
I'm an "in the closet" fan, so I am happy everyone else likes it too!
This show is fantastic! Nina Dobrev is beautiful and she's a very talented actress. I think - and I hope - she will go very far. She might be the next Canadian sensation to take over Hollywood. I wish her all the best! AND Perez, you better run a special on this girl, she's definitly part of Young Hollywood.
This show is shizzle. The guys aren't hot, and none of them can act!

You can't even compare the talented actors of Twilight to these second rate actors. And for the poster that said Bella is not afraid of Edward in Twilight that is false. She is afraid but her desire is stronger than her fear. Not to mention the girl from VD (ha ha VD!) is up Stefan's ass so I don't see how shes' so afraid of him! I don't care which came out first the show is crap.
Yay!! Love this show. It's about time the CW put something watchable on again.
The only other thing they've got going on is Smallville, everything else they air sucks donkey dick.
this show kicks twilights ass! the storyline actually makes sense, and the guys are HOT. unlike that SPARKLY CRAP KNOWN AS EDWARD CULLEN.

I love this show…..and I love that the sex appeal of the vamps is kept kinda low key and not all given away at once….makes you want more and more and more!!!
i love this show. i was expecting a shitty show, but it really isnt that bad. but the best thing that has ever and will ever be played on the CW is Supernatural. LOVE THAT SHOW TO DEATH. and i dont really understand why everyone is hating on melrose. it might not be the best show in the world,but its still good. the acting lacks in some areas (ashlee simpson and collin egglisfeild), but theres also some incredible acting (KATIE CASSIDY♥♥♥♥♥♥, micheal rady, jessica lucas, stephanie jacobson, shaun sipos). i like it C:
TVD rule! It's my guilty pleasure for sure. MP has been picking up steam, it's getting better.

Great show. Wasn't sure what I expected but really like it. Congratulations CW and cast.
I haven't watched VD, so idk. As for MP, everyone blames Ashlee, and she does suck, but she is not the only bad part of the show. The teacher is annoying, her bf is lame (but has potential), everyone raves about Katie Cassidy, but her character is a little overkill. The hooker/doctor has weird lips, which make her hard to look at and the only hot guy hardly has any scenes.

I love The Vampire Diaries. The first show had me hooked. The plot, the characters, the music, I am really impressed and I hope it stays for many seasons. Thursdays 8pm = my new favorite time!

I love the vampire diaries! It's soooo much better then twilight, actuallly, Twilight is like a rip off of the vampire diaries (which was written in the 90's) Seriously t's so ing! Not only that, but Stefan and Damon are actually hot. also, Twilight is all sappy and mushy. The vampire diaries isn't like that, it's actually realistic (you know, except the whole vampire and witch thing, but if they were real, the reactions and such are very appropriate)
Horror! It was a RERUN this thursday, I am soooo dissapointed. What's with them picking a random old episode? at least they could have re-aired last weeks episode.
Re: ImmortalBeloved – I actually laughed out loud when you called the twilight actors talented. Kristen Stewart fails and so does Robert Pattinson. Nina Debrov actually has more than one emotion. I'm not saying anything about the plot, but the actors on this show own the ones from Twilight.
Oh Gawd! this show sucks! the acting is not good…please just leave vampires to True Blood and Twilight!
