Bon Jovi Embarks On World Tour, Starting In Jersey!

There's only one way to kick off the opening of the new $1.6 billion Meadowlands football stadium, home of the New York Giants and Jets:

One major concert!

The Boss helped say farewell to the old stadium, so now it's up to Bon Jovi to usher in the new stomping grounds. On May 26th, Jon Bon Jovi and his boys will rock New Jersey with the first concert at the venue.

It also will mark the start of their two year world tour! The band is looking to do 135 shows in 30 countries.

Crazy!

Anyone looking forward to this?

Doesn't Bon Jovi have cancer? He is such a little guy. So cute! I want to pick him up and put him in my pocket! I hope that he doesn't have the cancer…

  10. 10

    heck yeah!

  11. 11

u sound suprised at this piggy. like bon jovi or not they have a solid fan base and play in front 10 15 thousand a night. u cannot really relate to longevity like this. besides madonna name one artist u endorse that will still be around after 25 years.. so its not really crazy and yes tons of folks are waiting for this tour

  12. 12

    Still looks good.
Great news that they're touring again

  13. 13

Wow! I wonder if they'll sell as many tickets as Ladle GlueGlug or Slimy or The Pretty Shiny Happy Wonder Twin Banana Fuckers? Or maybe their opening act will suffer a severe "illness" three days in to the tour and just say "meh." Hmm, the possibilities…

  14. 14

Get your facts straight. The tour kicks off in Seattle on February 19th.

  15. 15

Check your fucking facts before posting…the show does NOT start in Jersey it starts in Seattle in Feb!! He is going to be the first concert at the new Meadowlands but he is not starting the world tour there!!!

  16. 16

and YES….I will be there for the NJ and MA shows!! Bon Jovi just gets better with age!!!!! check HIS website for the RIGHT tour dates!!!

    Re: Zombie Hitler

This made me pee my pants laughing. awesome.

  18. 18

UMMM….DEF!!!!!!! BON JOVI HAS BEEN AWESOME SINCE FOREVER!!!!!!

  19. 19

Well, looky there Pumpkinhead, a summer date at the Skydome in Toronto where 60,000 music lovers will convene. Not at all like that immense failure of a tour of condemned flophouses you put together. How's Ida Maria? Hope she's recovered from that nasty bout of "empty venue syndrome" she caught.

  20. 20

Saw them last year at Twickenham Stadium, had a great time , may well go see them again

  21. 21

OF COURSE!!!!!!!! Bon Jovi is legendary!

  22. 22

who gives a shit who gives a fuck

  23. 23

I am SOOO looking forward to this. Bon Jovi puts on an awesome show.

  24. 24

I have NEVER been a BJ fan so having said that, the fact that they are still around is not due to their talent rather its due to the fans who don't know "crap" when they hear (bleed) it! Heres to JBJ's wig staying on!!

  25. 25

Hmm…aren't you the same guy that was whining last week about Bon Jovi teaming up with NBC to promote their new album? I seem to recall some comment about them not being relavent anymore. Funny how quickly you switch from bashing them to attempting to sound psyched for this tour. You're such a dick…get a real job. PS - how's the lawsuit against will.i.am going? Been thrown out of court yet for wasting their time?

  26. 26

Re: star80 – Yep, 25 years of people who don't know good music. I totally buy that. Totally. Cuz people are just soooo willing to part with their money…for 25 years…yep, makes sense.

  27. 27

I hope they come to Argentina :)
    I looooove them!!

  28. 28

    No.

    he is old and over.

  29. 29

    Re: Jenyfyr
He isn't psyched. That's just his passive-aggressive way of trying to get people to post nasty comments on how irrelevant they are, even though their last tour in 2008 was the highest grossing for that year.

  30. 30

They were never really good. You listen to their music today it sounds so dated and cheesy.

  31. 31

Bon Jovi was the #1 touring band last year. They started MTV unplugged, Jon and Richie are in the songwriters hall of fame, they've sold over 120 MILLION albums, and are going on a two-year tour in 30 countries and will probably sell out every STADIUM. Your artists can't fill a club.

  32. 32

OK, he simply needs better deeper more meaningful songwriting to sustain Rock Superstar status-you know, like Madonna or Britney Sears. But he should not ride out on his pretty-boy status.

  33. 33

    YESSSSS!!!! WooHoo! YESSSSS!!!!
They are wayyyyyyy better that your precious CaCa and Mik-agh and Stinky who ever the 'F' they are!

  34. 34

    he's still hot!!!!!!

  35. 35

So going to see Bon Jovi..actually am planning on going to three of the dates announced…hopefully more if they tour for two years like it says!

  36. 36

Hopefully he comes to Switzerland too - I want to see him once again and then I would stop ;-)
Runaway is my all time favourite song - as it describes pretty well what happened to me *sighs*

  37. 37

Re: DoubleFister – I dont think so!

    OH im so excited!!! AHHHH!!

  38. 38

YYYYYYYYYEAAAAAAAAAAAAHH!!! Means he'll in Montreal soon after that! LOVE HIM!! p.s. to anyone who has a chance to go see him: he's AWESOME in concert.
