John Travolta "Disappointed" With Outcome Of Trial

We would be, too!
After the mistrial was declared, a rep for John Travolta released a statement to Entertainment Tonight:
"We are disappointed to hear about the alleged juror misconduct since we know that the Bahamian government, the court, the other jurors and John Travolta as the victim want to have this matter adjudicated through the judicial system. Mr. Travolta has and will continue to cooperate with the Bahamian authorities in the prosecution of the defendants for extortion."
The retrial date has yet to be set, but we're sure they want it done sooner rather than later!

…I don't have a lot of faith in the legal system. i speak from personal experience. I wish them luck.
its disgusting what they have to go through after losing their son
It was a mistrial due to one juror having "inappropriate communication", I don't know if they don't use alternates or if the juror poisoned the pool, in any case it is terrible that the Travoltas will have to continue to relive this tragedy.
I like his is wearing his hairpiece, he looks good like that !
this is so horrible. i can't believe this poor family has to suffer through this trial all over again. i hope the juror responsible is properly charged.
wtf is wrong with these bahamians?
This sucks Now he's going to have to relive the worst moment of his entire life yet again. It was bad enough he had to do it once. WTF is up with that place.Their justice system is a total joke.
Stay strong Travolta family! God I would not know what to do if this were me.
This really is a slap in the face. They should've slapped that juror with breaking the privacy of the court and with contempt! My heart goes out to the Travolta family, and I pray the eventually get justice!
Re: karencarpenter – In the Bahamas?
Loosing their child was enough without having to even think of dealing with something like this. This is one time when I think that it is good that Travolta has enough money to make certain this isn't just going to go away.
The Bahamas is a wonderful place with wonderful people. However, the judicial system, just like many government organizations in this country suffer from very poor management and even corruption. I have lived there in the past and some of my very close family members still live there. A great percentage of government, healthcare and police force employees do not give a damn about providing the services they are supposed to. This is the same with many businesses over there. It is sad since this place is a paradise. When you live there, you see it. Many friends of our family have lost their properties there, because of criminal management of their condo complex. Hotel employees were even stealing toilets and sinks from the condos. Nobody was arrested. The owners of the condos went to court but the Bahamian lawyers and judges kept postponing the court dates. At the end, nobody was convicted and all Canadians and American condo owners lost their properties. This condo complex was then filled with squatters. This is just an example of how things are handled in the Bahamas. I hope that the Travoltas can move on peacefully.
yeah , yeah…He got fucked over on a technicality. He came close to getting kicked out of the Scientology deal. but they ended up defending him in the end. Should he go back and testify again…I say absolutely. He owes it to himself and his son.
Although I think his religion is wacky (as are most) I think he is brave and take the high road and put these clowns under bars.
