Madonna To Return To Malawai, Babies Beware!

Madonna will be in Malawi on Sunday to attend the brick laying ceremony for a new multi-million dollar girls' school she is building.
Her charity, Raising Malawi, made the announcement this morning, explaining that the mega star is throwing down $15 million to have the school built. A staffer explained:
"She plans to meet the President Bingu wa Mutharika and together lay a foundation stone for her multi-million dollar girls school."
No word yet if any of her children, include little Mercy, will join her on the trip.
Doing good things is the right thing to do. We're sure Madonna will have a wonderful time.

dont get me wrong I am all for helping other countries out….but when the fuck is celebs going to contribute funds for the US….we need to help/grow too!

I know what you're saying, but many American citizens in rural Appalachia don't have plumbing, live in dirt-floor shacks, and generations of their families continue to be functionally illiterate.

Well the short answer would be that people in third world countries are worst off then foster kids in america. At least orphans may eventually get adopted in the United States and live a comfortable life with a really secure government. Third World Countries? Not so much. Good for madonna. $15 Million is quite a big sum. Plus, I bet that's just the tip of the iceberg. No one but Madonna knows how she has given to charity in the last year.

It is important that, once you adopt a child overseas, you ensure that said child knows a lot about their country of origin and remains connected to their culture. From what I have heard, a lot of parents that adopt overseas underestimate this importance.
On another tangent, work in youth probation, which is flooded with kids that are living in foster homes. Many of these kids are minorities, and they do not know their birth/firstparents very well. Almost all of these kids want to know more about their heritage or culture. Relating this back to affluent people like Madonna, who adopt overseas, again, I think it is important that these parents go the extra mile to ensure their kids are connected to the country they came from. I have come to understand how hard it must be for youths that grow up, not knowing anything about where they come from.
So yeah, good job Madonna. It is wonderful that she is keeping ties with Malawai, and doing wonderful work while she's there.

Well, Madonna's own mother died of breast cancer, but I don't see Madonna doing a whole lot for breast cancer awareness. And her own brother is/was a drug addict, but I'm still waiting for her to do her anti-drug promo. Wait, that would make her a hypocrite, with all the X and weed she claims have to done.
