Shakira's new album, She-Wolf, has already been pushed back more than once and now her label has just announced that it will be released on November 23rd and will contain her newest Timbaland-produced single, Give It Up To Me featuring law-breaker Lil' Wayne.
BAD move!!!!
Shakira will now be going up against Lady GaGa's Fame Monster, Rihanna's Rated R, Adam Lambert's For Your Entertainment and Britney Spears' The Singles Collection.
All those albums will be released on November 23rd too!!!!!!
Yikes! She certainly won't take the top spot up against all that competition!

I can't wait to hear the new song Give It Up to Me with Lil Wayne (I love you Weezy!). But Shakira releasing her new album on the 23rd is a BAD idea. She can't compete against Lady Gaga, Rihanna, and Britney Spears. Does her label realize what they are doing!?! My question is what did Shakira do to deserve that?

Adam Lambert will debut at number one based on hype and American idol (I think all the AI winners released debut albums that debuted at #1). As for Rihanna, I think she will settle for #2. Lady Gaga and Britney…Not sure which will debut higher, but I think Gaga might have the edge. Her album has a lot of new songs in addition to old songs, but then again, people will most likely buy the singles as they will surely do with Britney's collection album. People don't buy compilations anymore and rereleases rarely do better than the original.

Actually, know-it-all, Adam Lambert is expected to be the biggest-selling of the four, based on pre-sales.
Rhianna will realise an album without any current hit, Adam is not hitting a homerun right now with his new song and we are all tired of Lady Gaga, and Britney's album is a GH…so, the competion is not as big as you might think. Shakira's album is fantastic and that horrible Timberlan's song will help her to make it intho the top 3.

Um….no, by releasing the album (like everyone else is) right before Thanksgiving, stores can be fully stocked with it and it will sell after Thanksgiving on Black Friday and for Xmas sales! DUH! Hey douchenozzel - aren't you trying to pass yourself off as some sort of record label owner? First of all, Shakira is a GLOBAL artist. There is a whole world out there who fucking don't care about Adam or Rihanna. Second, all of them (especially Britney) just provides some much-needed competition to ensure people are watching U.S. releases that week. It's called competition. It's called NEWS. If there was NO competition for the top spot why would anyone write abut it?
Has any of her previous albums debuted at #1? No. So what difference does it make if this one doesn't.
It's ok cuz she's about to go to Live Nation. Epic is probably upset about that and that's why they released She Wolf the single 4 months before the album. And I have to say that with little to no promotion for the song here in the U.S. it still went all the way to number 11. Shakira is world wide who cares if the album flops in the U.S. The U.S. and yes I do live here does not appreciate singer/songwriters, they support crap like Britney and Rihanna.
Shakira kinda sucks at singing. The Britney album is songs we've already heard, Lady GaGa's should be cool and I'm super excited to hear Adam Lamberts….I LOVE him. Oh, and I hate Rihanna but her's will probally get as hyped as it possibly can.

she doesn't suck at singing. she just doesn't have the greatest voice. i dont' see why people can't realize that it doesn't take just a great voice, it's a full package: voice, artistry, looks, music. and i believe shakira has that. she is the only othe woman for the longest time after madonna that is in complete control of her career. now lady gaga is here too and she has a lot of creative control, but honestly lady gaga just happened to be out at the right time. the time when everything is about dance-electronic music, we'll see if she can transfer that success to other sounds. she's a freaking circus show for now.

Actually, if we're basing it on presales, Susan Boyle just broke Norah Jones' record - Boyle has sold more presales on Amazon.com than any singer ever. EVER. And far, far more than Adam Lambert. Check the current rankings there.
Even though Adam has a single out, he's number 5 on the bestseller's list (which is great, btw!!), but Susan Boyle is #2 (and just was #1 yesterday).
I think the battle's going to be among Adam, Susan and Lady Gaga. I predict Susan first, Adam second and Gaga third. But, these three could appear in any order and maybe will be very close.

Most people will probably download Gagas instead of buying it (that's why it took so long for Fame to reach platinum), Rihanna's single isn't so great, so I doubt she'll get the #1 spot, either. Shakira's I know won't be #1. Adam Lambert's has a good chance, since it's coming after AI, but he needs to release his first single already, otherwise people are going to think that "Time for Miracles" is his single. And, though I don't want to say it, Susan Boyle will probably take the top spot, even though that makes no freaking sense to me. So, the list will probably be SuBo, Adam Lambert, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Britney (because it's a box set, not the album), and Shakira. Plus I heard Gaga's and obviously Britney's (being a box set) are going to cost a pretty penny.

To create the most buzz, NOV 23 is Thanksgiving week, WHICH MEANS IT'S GOING ON SALE DURING THE BIGGEST SELLING WEEKEND OF THE YEAR. Sure Shakira wouldn't have opened #1, BUT IT WILL HAVE EXPOSURE being that it's next to all those other artists on the CD rack retail or online. My point was, Perez is making such a big deal out of the possibility that her album may not debut at #1 on Billboad. I'm like, who cares? None of her other English language albums have either, so why is Perez treating this like it's the end of her career? It'll probably do fine, and he'll be eating crow like he usually does when he "predicts" another failure.
