Mamma Mia, Here We Go Again.
My, my. Do we really need a sequel?
Not that we didn't love Meryl Streep the first time around. We just don't think we can handle another musical romp of Abba music.
Regardless of what we think, a sequel to Mamma Mia is most likely headed our way, at least according one of the stars. Amanda Seyfried has confirmed there are plans in the works to make the movie happen, but nothing concrete as of yet. She explained:
"I've been talking to some insiders and it's not something that they haven't been working on. I don't actually know anything other than that. I know it's still going to be Abba music, because what else would it be. Come on, I wouldn't do Mamma Mia 2 without Benny and Bjorn…I think we all had the best time and we all got along so well. It was like some days it felt like we were just people on vacation. I will do it. And I know Meryl's game as well, so bring it on. It will be so cool."
That makes two! If they could land Pierce Brosnan, we think they might have a movie.

I adore Meryl Streep and watched Mamma Mia because she was in it. However, there's no way I could (would) sit through a sequel.
I like Amanda's shoe's and hair in that picture, but, I don't like the dress she's wearing.
I'm from Sweden and I recall Benny and Bjorn saying they want no part of a sequel. And without them there can't be one.. atleast not with Abba music.
nooooo sequel….it was a movie based on the Broadway show, the sequel would just be all new stuff, and NO GOOD!! What would it possibly be about?

I liked the movie but think a sequel is a mistake
My ears have not yet recovered from Pierce Brosnan's singing in Mama Mia. The audience I saw that film with laughed out loud at one point when he sang (I believe on a bridge). I have Abba's greatest hits CD volume one but there is a reason I don't own volume two and that is because of quality drop off. The same should be considered about the film.

ABBA doesn't have enough songs (at least enough good ones) to make another movie. This isn't going to happen.

A sequel to Mamma Mia? Impossible, because there isnt even a sequel to original stage version. This is like the Hairspray movie, where the producers are now begging the original playwrights to make a sequel. You know, there's also a correlation between the movies. They both suck
God no, my ears will bleed if I hear Pierce Brosnan sing. Meryl Streep was good in the movie, but way too old. She is in her fifties while her character should have been somewhere in her early forties.

I love ABBA, loved Mamma Mia the Musical, loved the movie..but in all honestly could do without Pierce his voice was abismal..he was the only one of the cast who couldn't hold a tune.

Well, loved the first one, but don't know if you should make another one when the first was so good.. that would might be a mistake. But I agree, "If they could land Pierce Brosnan, we think they might have a movie." Or Meryl Streep and Amanda Seyfried.. love 'em!

WORST movie I ever saw in a theater. Love Streep, but she was waaaay to old for that role (as was her 60 year old bed-jumping friends!). The daughter way overacted. The only good part was when Pierce B sang. I literally laughed out loud by the second song. Others were doing the same. A sequel?? I don't think so.
I loved the stage play but the movie was badly miscast. All of the primary actors were too old and only Meryl Streep could actually sing. Even my 11 year old complained about Pierce Brosnan's horrible singing. What were they thinking?
At the end very when Meryl Streep asks if the viewer if they'd like to hear more we all shouted NO! Please NO SEQUEL to this horrid, horrid movie - for the love of God!!
NO. NO NO NO NO NO. The movie is based on a fabulous show. It would be such a move only for money and such a horrible day for Broadway to make a sequel to it. Like Nunsense 2…
