NBC Thinks New Comedies Will Save Them
While Jay Leno continues to destroy ratings, people over at the peacock network are working to bring more half-hour comedies to the network featuring Jimmy Kimmel's BFF Adam Carolla, The Simpson's alum Bill Oakley and Don Cheadle.
That's the best they could do???
Carolla will be playing a contractor and father whose life gets turned upside down when his wife leaves him. Leno's rival over on ABC, Jimmy Kimmel will be exec producing along with Carolla.
Sounds like it might have potential, especially with Kimmel on board.
Don Cheadle will be pairing up with Boondocks creator Aaron McGruder to produce a comedy about two mismatched brothers who reunite to open a private security company.
Isn't that basically Two and a Half Men minus the sex?
Bill Oakley's sitcom will center on the youngest judge in a circuit courthouse.
Not too sure about that one.
Hopefully this doesn't screw over NBC more than they already have!

…actors and writers will jump for joy. Reality 'stars', not so much. Get the posse here to write the initial script. It should bring howls of laughter, a few choice words and a lot of intelligence.
NBC is in chaos, I don't see this next move working out for them. Can you believe this is the same network that housed the brilliant Frasier? They need more smart comedies like that.

Well they keep making "formula" shows and they are not creative and not watchable…I smell disaster already…sorry to be a black cloud.

adam corolla sucks, he is dull and drove 97.1 in to the ground. I cant believe they replaced howard stern with this walking piece of shit. he sucks just like his buddy. they are boring and wouldnt know funny if it took a shit on them.

Carolla's hilarious. His podcast is much better than the Howard Stern Show these days. But he's such a strong personality that he always seems to be playing himself.
Why can't they just admit the Leno deal was a HUGE mistake, pull it and bring back some decent hour dramas like Southland. Morons!
NBC's ratings are dropping because they are a wing of the Democratic White house, not real journalist. They are cheerleaders for the administraion, not giving us the truth. Sucks to be them!!

I LOVE adam corolla!!! He's hillarious. I listen to his podcast religiously.
I wonder if this is the pilot he made for CBS. He said that CBS would probably pick up his show as a mid season replacement but maybe they've shopped it over to NBC.
Also, his movie The Hammer is really really funny. I def reccomend it.

I like Boondocks so I might check that show out with Don Cheadle. Everything else sounds like crap. They need to get ride of that Jay Leno Show. He's sucked on the Tonight Show and he sucks now. Conan is way better.
Adam Carolla is brilliant and hysterically funny. I look forward to seeing his new show.
Love Cheadle, but anything with Carolla goes belly up. Why would anyone invest a penny in him?
I hope NBC implodes. They've completely gone to shit. What happened to the Seinfeld, Friends, Frasier days??? They should try more comedies that appeal to everyone instead of particular audiences.
