Rihanna's Producer Assures Us That Rated R Is "So Great."

Chuck Harmony, one of Rihanna's producers along with Ne-Yo for "Russian Roulette", is doing damage control singing Rihanna's praises and her "growth as an artist" calling her the Madonna of her generation.
Here are some HIGHlights:
On "Russian Roulette":
"I sat through mix sessions and I heard some of the songs on the record. It fits in. 'Russian Roulette' is definitely taking her to another level. I think she's a pop icon, so her music should reflect that."
On remaining true to her fanbase:
"I think Rihanna has captured what her old fans are used to, as well as the growth of an artist. 'Russian Roulette,' to me, is a shining example of her growth and her artistic expression,"
On the album as a whole:
"I was actually shocked I got the first single ’cause the album is so great. The way it's unfolding is so genius. Like, 'The wait is ova' [message on her site]. I was waiting too. I wanted to see the cover, I wanted to hear the song. It's one of those records where you just don't know. It's not a faith record. It's one of those thought-provoking records."
So far our only provoked thought is "meh."
We SO want to believe him when he says that the rest of the album is amazing.
We love RiRi and want her to do well, especially after the year she's had!

i hopew her other singles off this album are better- i definately won't be buying Russian Roullette- its sooo disapointing ;P hope she has more tracks like disturbie and umbrella.

I recently met Rihanna and got a sneak listen of her new album yesterday, this is a woman who know's what she wants, has a clear vision and the new album will not disappoint, it's great.

The songs are different, which I like. At least she is growing as an artist. I was not feeling the 'Umbrella" pop image too much. Honestly, Rihanna's current style of music reminds me a little more of Sheila E. I am a little older, obviously, but I remember how ecletic her sounds used to be. Sheila E would be a better comparison than Madonna.
