Something Wicked Comes To Dreamworks

Before all you Idina Menzel lovin' Broadway babes get your green panties in a twist, we're sorry to say that the film Dreamworks is working on has nothing to do with the land of Oz.
So breathe. We're sure you'll get your movie someday.
In the meantime, if you are interested in witches and teenage annoying angsty drama, then this new movie is right up your alley. Dreamworks has secured the rights to the Debbie Viguie series called Wicked. The five book series follows "Holly Cathers, a teenager who discovers that she's the descendant of a coven of witches."
Writers Aaron and Matthew Benay are already set to adapt the book and considering the phenomenon that is Twilight, you can bet that the focal point of the movie will be the tortured love story between Holly and a boy from another coven.
How dramatic cheesy.

The books are SO good! Ahhhhh I'm so excited! I hate Twilight! This should replace it!

I loved these books, and they will be a great break from the Twilight mania.

That's a bunch of crap. I was hoping for a screen adaption from the book By Gregory Mcguire. Not so much the play's adaption, but closer to the book would be great.
I have a strong feeling that this film's gonna pull a "twilight" and make witches a phenomenon 'ala' vampires.
This book was out before Twilight. The writing is actually WAY better.
My god Perez, do you even bother doing checks before you write something. Wicked the Musical Movie is already in the works.
These books are waay better than twilight. also quite a bit more mature. Not for little girls who want meaningless fluff piled on top of more meaningless fluff.

actually pretty good— not all twilight gushy all the time– writing is solid, actual plotline
These books are actually awesome. The cheesy romance is there, but it's more complex than Twilight in a lot of ways. It's a really good book.

These books are scary and not good.
OMG I totally freaked out for a min cause I totally want them to make a Wicked movie with the origionals Idina and Kristin!!! Idina Menzel is the one and only Elpheba!!!!!!!! lol
I had a chance to read all of the books, it is a more complicated situation. The boy does not always get the girl. Looking forward to it.
