Bon Jovi Jacks Up The Prices To UK Concerts, Fans Are Pissed!

This doesn't really tie in to your image of being about "the working man."

Bon Jovi is charging pretty much an arm and a leg for their upcoming gigs at the O2 Arena in London and they have their fans pretty upset!

The upper tier ranges from 45 to 75 pounds while floor seating costs up to 200 pounds! An angry fan, who started a website voicing fans' concerns over ticket prices, explains:

"This means I'd have to pay £200 to get a good spot to see the band perform. Last time they played London I paid £75 for the same spot. And then I'm not even talking about the booking fees…"

Jon Bon Jovi approves the ticket prices before they go on sale, so the fans are directing their resentment towards him.

In fact, to get your name on the website you have to email jonbonjovidisgustme@hotmail.com. No mixed messages there!

That is pretty steep for any concert really, much less a Bon Jovi concert!

Who do you guys think you are anyway?

Madonna?!

      fuckers.

    2. 2

Well, he has to make up for the million bucks he got suckered out of by Oprah.

    3. 3

That is not right at all. Concerts are way to expensive anyway as it is.

    4. 4

I never understand why rock artist can tour into infinity. And as those who grew up with the music ages, they continue to support it as there wallets are now fatter compared to when they were teens. So isn't it a case of what the market will bare?

    5. 5

He needs to buy a lot but a lot of botox for the entire band !

    6. 6

Bon Jovi puts on one of the greatest shows ever. For big arena shows, those prices aren't that bad. Actually I'm pretty sure thats along the lines of what its always been. I've paid much more money, for much shittier shows.

Went to see them last year in Holland. Luckily the dutch soccer team won the EC-match prior to the concert…. At least that brought some excitement!!! Sorry guys you are not worth Gbp 200,-

    8. 8

Shame on them, I only paid £35 for U2 at Wembley Stadium! Hope the fans don't buy the tickets.

    9. 9

Bon Jovi and Madonna is the best, love you still Bon Jovi!

    10. 10

My mother bought tickets today for New Meadowlands and she only paid $243 for two tix… of course, I, on the other hand, opted for pit tix, which cost me a cool $850 for 2!

When we saw them play in Dallas last year, we paid $900 for four floor seats, so these prices are in line with what we paid in the past…

    11. 11

So, Bon Jovi are the ONLY band who charge £200 for concerts?! I think not! I think they're worth it.

    12. 12

He's doing the same to his US fans! $$ in his eyes are all he cares about!

    13. 13

Concert tickets, ball game tickets, movie tickets…the prices are just insane. I understand the artists, promoters, etc…..have to make millions but come on. Enough is enough.

    14. 14

Free market you fat fuck. I just paid 250 for 4th row metallica, and I paid 200 to see Van Halen when they came. It keeps the riff raff out. If Robert Plant ever gets his head out of his ass they will charge way more that this. Although, Bon Jovi is not Metallica, VH, or Led Zeppelin.

    15. 15

Who do you guys think you are anyway?

      Madonna?!

YES!!!!!!! THEY ARE THE "MADONNA (S)" OF R&R.They're one of the most successful bands in the world, perez. YOU'RE AN IGNORANT.

I think Bon Jovi needs to go back to their 80's roots and remember where they started and who their fans are.

    17. 17

      I'd pay it.

    18. 18

Thanks Jon, There's a credit crisis on and you do this to your fans, Tommy and Gina are not amused

    19. 19

Maybe in comparison to their previous concerts the prices are high, but that's nothing compared to artists like Beyonce who sell tickets for $1000 and under. People don't have to buy the tickets if they don't like the prices.

    20. 20

Typical liberal… full of shit. Hi I'm Jon Bon Jovi and I'm going to write a song all about how hard times are for people and then on my tour to promote said song I rape people on the ticket prices. I charge more than Bruce, Coldplay, and U2. In Work for the working man I proclaim: Brother I'll be damned if I don't lend a hand for the working man…well Jonny based on your proclamation enjoy hell.

    21. 21

not sure of conversion rates but in australia any concert in an arena is around 150. ive paid 250 bucks to see bon jovi, so 75 pounds isnt that bad!!

Does he need more money? Selfish SOB. Fans should just snob him - who cares about this group anyways?

    23. 23

Hi ” I think Bon Jovi is worth any money to go and see i would pay $400.00 Dollors to go and see him live ”
so stop ur winging about how mush he charges

    24. 24

It is in line with the price of all the major groups who do O2 ..what is the big deal.Only sappy Kylie HAS to sell her for £45 otherwise it would be empty……………she fills it because her are cheap ass.
I have paid more than £200 to see acts i really wanted to see live.. get over it.

    25. 25

AS a member of the Fan CLub and a huge Jovi fan, It amazes me that people complain about the prices. We pay the cost of the tickets so they will keep charging crazy money. The cash cow is mooing! thats all i can say

    26. 26

As a Bon Jovi fan even I'm not happy with the prices but lets face it they've earned it… I mean Madonna finds it acceptable to charge high prices for her concerts.
Now if Lady GaGa expected ppl to pay those sort of prices…then we'd have a problem…
