Fox Is #1, But Will It Last?

Usually, Fox has to wait for the juggernaut known as American Idol to lift them to the top of the network heap.
Such is not the case these days!
Months before we are graced with Idol, Fox has taken the lead against all the other networks. In large part, the Yankees making a triumphant return to the World Series has a lot to do with it, but it isn't the only factor helping Fox stay #1.
This season, the network seems to be in the lead with it's primetime programming, holding strong with it's popular scripted dramas, like Bones, putting So You Think You Can Dance into the fall line-up, and it's new shows, Glee and The Cleveland Show.
If they can hold strong in the weeks between the World Series and the return of Idol, Fox may just win the honor of being the year-around broadcast leader.
Can they do it?
For their sake, hopefully the Yankees and the Phillies will play all seven games.
Couldn't hurt!

I like Bill O'Reilly the best. That's why I like Fox so much.
Fox has cancelled alot of good shows in the past. It doesn't deserve to be #1. FOX Sucks and so does NBC. They always cancel shows that are good. Dummies!

Go back 5 years…who ever would have thought Fox would be number one and NBC would be so dismally in the gutter barely staying afloat? I love Glee and am hoping for a good World Series.
I'm shocked at this because based on ratings, most shows in the top 20 are from ABC and CBS. Only football, baseball, and House are in the top 20 for FOX.
FOX is a great network, good shows and news programs.

If it wasn't for Idol and their other good shows then I could give two birds less! Their 10 yr old rants about Obama is childish and unprofessional. They should learn to be humble instead of taking advantage of being able to act like kids because Fox' head honcho is anti-Obama!
Fox news is the only news you can trust. That is why Obama hates them. Rock on Fox!

Fox could do a lot better if they remove Fringe from Thursday nights! WTF?!?!? Why do all the networks believe that every show with promise has to air on Thursday nights. Next thing you know it will be cancelled and Fox will wonder why the ratings went down. IDIOTS! Please move Fringe to any other night beside Thursday or Friday!

I can't root for FOX NEWS creators.
Well boring little dancing shows are nice and all, and American Idol is cute for the masses, but your also forgetting things like House, 86 million viewers world wide, you know stuff that is good content.
And while yes Idol much like WWE is good programming for the the *cough* challenged masses, there are a lot of other shows on fox. That could be contributing to it. Bones was a good mention though, its not CSI but its pretty good.

Bones is one of the best scripted dramas on. Great cast. Solid scripts. But the chemistry between the cast, their ability to play off each other is hard to match.
Bones, House, Mad Men, Dexter are the "Must watch" shows of the week.
Lest you forget the return of 24 in the new years as well.

thirdly, for those of you who choose not to watch television shows on fox because you don't agree with their news broadcasts, that's INSANE. i love the tv shows i watch on fox and if you view them it does not, by any means, imply that you approve or agree with the opinions expressed on their news reports. they are not, in fact, the same same thing. let's be real - there are tv shows on fox that highly contradict the extreme conservative opinions expressed on fox news.
