Lily Allen Snubs Fans!

And the one who runs one of her biggest fan-sites to boot!
What a class-act that Silly Allen is!
Zac, the webmaster of Oh-Lily.com, blogged about his experience trying to give Lily a lovingly homemade fan book before her concert in Amsterdam.
He says:
"Finally, we spotted Lily walking towards the entrance. So naturally, i walked towards her trying to hand her the fanbook. Right off the bat, one security guy walked up to us and said that we had to stop there. When i tried to reach out and say: 'Lily, i just wanna give this to you!' she kept walking, and said: 'Im sorry, i have to go in!'. She never even looked at us once, and she looked really bothered by the fact that we were there. I understand that because she was late that she had to go to soundcheck or whatever, but it probably wouldn’t even have taken her 10 seconds to just accept the book. So, ofcourse i was upset that i wasn’t able to give her the fanbook."
Not cool, Lily!
But Zac was persistent and tried again during her concert:
"…She was standing right in front of me, so i threw the book out ON the stage, next to a speaker. She must have known the book was there, cause it was right in her walking path. She didn’t take the book with her, and at one point even (accidentally, i think) stepped on it…The whole point of this book was to give Lily a suprise from her fans. No other fansite has done it for her, and it contained dozens of messages from people all around the world who just adore her. It was supposed to be something that would make her smile, but she never even looked at it once."
Despite Lily being a huge bitch, Zac raves on his blog about her performance and even holds out hope that she eventually received the book sending out a plea to Lily:
"So Lily, if you’re reading this, please send me an email at OhLilyCom@gmail.com, a tweet at OhLilyDotCom, or post something ANYWHERE to let me know you got the book. It would make me a feel so much better to know that the hard work i’ve put into the book didn’t go to waste."
We hate to break it to you bb, but we're about 99.9% sure she didn't get it.
She doesn't care about her music career anymore, which unfortunately means she probably doesn't give a shiz about her fans.

In Lily's defense, her fans are probably constantly trying to get her attention, give her things, shove things at her to sign. And the fan was half about showing Lily the love, and half about getting his hard work acknowledged. It's great to admire someone, but it doesn't mean you can actually get in their space and get acknowledged by them.

Ok, if i were Lily Allen I would have done the same thing. saying "I'm sorry, I have to go in" isn't bitchy at all, she's not going to stop for some strange man yelling that he had to give her this big book, right before she had to go onstage and perform. The fact that he threw the book is seriously annoying. I'm a fan of Lily, and I don't think I'd try to give her shit, especially if I was a grown man - I would maybe give her a letter or a drawing if I was a younger. You're better off just yelling something out like "You're awesome!"
There's always two sides to every story. He probably came off as crazy, psychotic, or stalkerish, as most fan(atic)s do. As far she's concerned, that book could have been filled with some twisted drawings or something.
Meh. I'm fairly neutral on it. I'm not a celebrity so I have no idea what that kinda pressure is like, but she could have at least glanced at it. Although the guy probably should have mailed it to her or gotten in touch with her agent or something to make sure she got it.
I don't blame her.

Lily, you should listen to Perez's advice to embrace those who actually like you. He should know since virtually no one on the planet likes him. Those that seem to are just pretending or are mentally unbalanced.
NO WAY!!!! anyone who defends Lilly is a straight up moron. The only reason she has fame and her picture on this god damned website (among others) is because of her fans. A star should ALWAYS be gracious to their fans ALWAYS, no matter how much of a rush they are in. Because it only takes 1 bad experience with a star to keep a fan from ever buying another record, magazine or poster with their face on it. Her attitude is "Please buy tickets to my show, but don't expect me to do anything more than perform" & "Don't seek me out as a real person, I'm a Star, i have no time or patience for you icky normal people" people w/ attitudes like that never last long… eventually fans will get sick of her snubbing them (i mean even hearing this story will keep me from ever seeking her out) and she'll fade away..can't wait!!
She'll embrace her music career when she's broke. She doesn't seem like a very classy woman. How much effort does it take to accept a gift from a fan and say thank you?

To believe every word of this story is probably a mistake.
He admits to standing in her personal area —-We arrived at the Heineken Music Hall around 1 PM, when we spotted Lily’s tourbus next to the venue. There were 4 of us, and we decided to wait there, ’cause that was probably the place where we had the most chance of running into her. Around 2:30 PM, we saw a guy walk into the tourbus, so when he came out i asked him when she would be out. He said that Lily was out but she would be back around 4:30 PM. So we kept waiting—- i.e. stalking outside the door of her bus for over 3 hours, where supposedly, it was just the 4 of them at the time? I mean, come on, if someone stands in the middle of your yard for hours, waiting to give you something (and you don't know what, but you think they might like you), you stop whatever you are doing, even if you are hosting a party for 20 and please ONE person over TWENTY? Common sense girl.

I'm not a huge Lily fan actually, but I do think she actually says things in her songs with her writing. She doesn't just write about love and dancing, she writes things that are relevant and very in tune with young people's emotions and that's really rare, especially among singers nowadays. Even if you don't like her sound, I think it's still respectable that there is some meaning behind her writing. People hear her music and just think she's another pop star, and maybe she is, but I think she has the capability to be more than that. She should try making a raw rock single with less commercial robotic editing - even though in some cases it works in an ironic way, she is talented and I think people should cut her some slack because she's young and you can't expect perfection.
I'm sorry, but if every celebrity stopped to devote time to each fan, they would never have any time to do anything. If she had to be somewhere, she had to be somewhere. Atleast she apologized, which is more than a lot of celebrities do. Maybe this person came off as a lunatic, so she felt like she just had to keep going.

I once had a homeless man hand me something that looked like a Playbill, you know the kind you get when you go to the muscial theater. Anyway, the pages were stuck together and it smelled like he'd picked it up out of the trash. I dropped it after he turned the block, but I found myself thinking "Why did you take that from him, Marianne?" I will be the first to say I think Lilly Allen is a bitch, but if some guy comes running at you screaming "Take this take this", I bet a lot of you would say no. For all you know, it's something he found in the trash that is sticky and covered with dirt. I'll never make that mistake again.

I have seen artists like Lily come and go in the music industry. She is far from a musical genius and she can easily be replaced. I'm sure her label is out looking for her repalcement right now. A record label is not going to continue spending money on an artist who is unprofessional and doesn't not know how to conduct herself in public. The label should have dropped her when she showed up drunk on stage with a drink in her hand and cursed at living legend Elton John. The records labels have gotten soft over the years.

My fan site did this for Gwen Stefani and she was VERY excited about the book and looked through it right there and then. I love Lily, but Gwen Stefani is a million times more successful and STILL had time to look through it and seemed genuinely excited about it. That's sad… Lily take a hint from Gwen.. your fans are most important!
If I were her, I'd keep walking too. People try to hand you all sorts of weird shit at concerts. She doesnt' know the guy, she has no obligation to stop. Why get roped by a weirdo. He paid the ticket, he'll see the show, that's all he should expect.
I feel bad because this kid is young and his idol kind of dissed him. He is definately drinking the Lily Kool-aid. With time he will realize it is the rare artist who really pays their fans the attention they would like. Sad but true.
