After a young fan and Virginia Tech student, Morgan Harrington, went missing during one of their concerts on October 17, Metallica is now adding $50,000 to the reward being offered for her safe return.

Harrington's parents have already announced a $100,000 reward for her return or information leading to the arrest of the party responsible for her disappearance.

In addition to the campaign website FindMorgan.com, Metallica also put a plea up on their official website asking fans to look at their video and photographic footage from the concert to see if she can be seen along with this description:

"Morgan has blond hair and blue eyes, is 5'6", 120 lbs., and was wearing a black 'Pantera' T-shirt, black skirt, and black boots. She was not carrying ID or a cell phone. Morgan was separated from her friends shortly before 9:00 pm at the venue."

Sad, sad.

We hope Morgan is found soon!

Re: kateeloveesyouu – LOL you're a fucking dumbass. Virginia Tech is actually one of the best colleges in the US, everything that happens there could happen anywhere else.

The Univ. of Virginia is responsible for anything that happens to this woman. UVA is a sexist institution that did not even admit women into its college or arts and sciences until 1972!!! They do little to assure that women are safe on the campus, they do little to bring attention to the HUGE problem that sexism is. Their policy of not letting someone back into a concert venue is CRIMINAL. All you young women in the Charlottesville area, be very careful. There is a predator on the lose and UVA is aiding and abetting him with their flagrant disregard for the safety of women. UVA needs to take a hard look at their sexist institution and sexist legacy.

I think it is SICK that you all obviously have NO IDEA what is going on here. You do not know Morgan therefore you do not have any right to state your opinion about her. You ask any of her friends or family, this girl did not choose to leave this concert with someone else. Why would her purse be found in the parking lot? She obviously didnt leave it there on purpose. And second, yes, she was wearing boots and tights, but im sure every other female METALLICA fan was wearing something similar.
its just really sad that you can find it acceptable to right some immature, ignorant shit about this poor, missing girl. If you have nothing positive to say then dont' say anything at all. What if one of your friends were missing, would you like to come on here and read foul comments about them?

You know what? All you dickwads posting shit trying to be funny should grow the fuck up! Welcome to our new world…..or course if she were a minority no one would give a shit right? Come the fuck on! Really? A girl is missing and it turns into a racial thing. And oh my god, she was wearing a skirt and boots…..thats the girl that should be taken away and possibly killed or whatever? I have never posted anything on a forum, but I have had enough! Grow the fuck up and recognize that a woman is missing!

this reminds me of when my sister wasnt able to get back into a concert,we were calling and calling her because we were getting worried(she was drunk)she finally answered her phone but wasnt talking all we could hear were a bunch of guys talking to her and cat calling in the backround and it was freaky..thankgod we ended finding her but no re-entry into these venues-especially concerts -can lead to bad situations for women but i guess its a tricky situation because they can't let people in and out.i hope this girl is okay and returns home, very scary to think about

Re: andriiiiia – crazy stuff happens at all colleges, it's not a virginia tech thing. besides, the concert was in charlottesville, near UVA, which is a different VA school about 3 hours from Tech.

Seriously, some of you people need to get a grip. What the hell do you expect her to wear to a Metallica concert? She was probably dressed more conservatively than most people dress on a daily basis. It should fucking matter what she was wearing. The girl is missing- its cause for concern.

    9. 109

      i hope they find her…

    10. 110

      Damn, Virginia Tech.

Re: PhillipP – You're a fucking jerk that obviously had shitty parents or a shitty life to say something like that.

Do you not realize this is someone's CHILD and someone's best friend and an innocent girl that is missing? You're a heartless piece of shit.

    12. 112

I bet Perez only posted this because Metallica is involved. PEREZ, I bet you feel so special posting about pointless gossip and your stupid thoughts when you could post about missing people more often and help get the word out. But no, you'd rather bitch about stupid Jon and Kate.

    13. 113

I don't understand how some people would wear less and less to a concert.
      Scene sluts.

    14. 114

Re: Donkey Show – assuming makes an ass out of you…and just you. you speak as though a non-white person would not be cared for by the band. you don't know. you have no idea except for this bias agenda you spew.

    15. 115

The only reason this is making any kind of news (Perez lol) is because Metallica decided to pitch in a few pennies.

So sad! I can't believe all of the awful things people are saying here…where's the humanity? Hope she makes it home safely, my heart goes out to her, her family and her friends :(
