MJ's Kids In Therapy (Thankfully)
Amidst all the controversy and chaos surrounding Michael Jackson's death, it seems that sometimes people forget he was a father to 3 young children who must miss him terribly.
Sister LaToya Jackson has revealed that Michael's kids, Prince, Paris and Blanket, are all in therapy to help them cope with their father's death.
LaToya says that Prince "just doesn't want to speak about it" while Paris "thinks and talks about her father all the time. She's doing very well, writes a lot and she wears his shirts every day. They still smell of him and it helps her feel close to him."
That makes our heart break!
And what about little Blanket?
"[He] is just a very sad, shy little boy. He cries — he really does cry. It's so painful for him. No one can bring his daddy back and it hurts so much."
The rest of the Jackson family are all helping to raise the kids as Michael would want them to be raised allowing only 2 hours of either the Disney Channel or Nickelodeon a day and planning a big traditional Christmas celebration like they ones shared with their father.
But LaToya speaks brightly about their future:
"Paris doesn't know it but she has all the makings of a star. If she wants to go into showbiz I can see that happening. The boys like the idea of directing, which is what Michael wanted to do. Kids are resilient. He gave them so much love and that is helping them.”
We hope the kiddies are just taking it one day at a time. Losing a parent is incredibly difficult to overcome, but it sounds like they have a great support system.
Just keep them away from Grandpa Joe!

These poor, poor kids. I wish them a happy, normal life. I'm sure Michael was a great father, but he just couldn't give them a normal childhood since he didn't have one himself. And yeah, stay the fuck away from them, Joe. You've screwed up enough children already.

This really makes my heart break, I feel so bad for his three kids, I can't even imagine what they must be going through everyday now that they've basically lost both parents (because Debbie Rowe's never really been involved in there live before and after Michael's death).
i think that it is great that michael jackson's children are in therapy. i can only imagine how devastating it must be for children so young to lose their parent. i also commend the family for keeping the traditions that mj had with his children such as celebrating christmas…i think his kids are going to be ok afterall.

My heart is broken for these little ones…Michael meant so much to his fans around the world, but to his children he WAS the world…And now that he is gone and there is no Mother to help them cope with their devestating loss, they must feel so lonely and sad…I am sure Michael's Mother and extended family are doing their best to help Prince, Paris and Blanket cope with their pain, and I commend them on their decision to seek professional assistance. I love Michael, his children and his family and pray that Mike is watching over them all…

So sad. Michael obviously loved those kids to death and gave them all the love he had and hopefully that will carry them far as well as their additional support system. I can really relate to Paris, when my dad died, I kept a few of his ties because they smelled like him. It was a great comfort. Sadly they don't anymore but they are still hanging in my closet, a reminder of a loved parent gone too soon. I wish them well, my heart truly goes out to them. RIP, Mike.

They are beautiful kids and seem very smart, sweet, and aware. They seem alot like Michael and he raised those kids really well. Thats so sweet that Paris wears his shirts. Blanket sounds like he knows whats going on but he's so young he doesn't know how do deal so thearapy sounds great.

That is so very sad, especially for the littlest one. I also agree with the people who say it's none of our business. I think the less said about the kids the better.
Just a couple of things: Too bad he didn't pick the same parents for all 3 kids. Paris & Prince are actually semi-attractive. That third kid Blanket appears to resemble a hairy chimp or something.Wonder if he's autistic. Jacko was very entertaining and a talented dancer. But .. a "good" father? C'mon. When? After he woke up from his anesthesia induced coma? I don't know , every little kid's dream , to have an addict as their parent , huh?

Those are 3 wonderful children. Michael did a remarkable job as a father and I'm glad they have all their cousins, uncles, aunts and grandparents around to love and nurture them through these difficult times.

Why didn't you pay attention to your own words before Michael passed??? It was alot of chaos around them due to people like you, but Michael did the best he could to keep them away from such chaos and in the process his parenting skills was always in question when fact was that he was a great father….

Anybody who loved Michael obviously loves his kids too, and I think it probably means a lot to them to hear it firsthand.
But then, that's just me.
I'm glad to hear that the kids have a lot of help to get them through that very difficult situation. I can't even imagine losing a parent at that age and it would just be so devistating.
And life is discovered on Earth!
What is this obsession with "Therapy" there are millions of children in the world who lose a parent sometimes both - but they don't have to sit through hours of therapy and yet they some how manage to get over their loss - how did the world manage before the therapists took over?
Sounds like LaToya is rubbing her hands together and Planning Paris's debut with money signs in her head. We all know she has no talent!
I think they should be kept away from LaToya as well.

it just kills me how people are quick to judge someone, especially after they're gone and can't defend themselves! as for latoya saying that the kids are going to therapy…ALL OF THEM NEED THERAPY! you can clearly see that this is a totally screwed up family, thanks to joe AND katherine. joe did the abuse and katherine is just a guilty for not stopping it. jehovah witness or not, when a man abuses your children, you need to step up and be a mother. poor michael, may he rest in peace….and God help those children growing up with all those nuts!

Only his children can say if he was or wasn't a good father. And Paris said very well in memorial: "Daddy was the best father you could imagine. And I want just say that I love him so much". Prince said as well: "If I could waste every minute in my life with my daddy, I would waste!". Michael, according his children, was the best father. The end.
