Morrissey Collapsed In Concert!

Never fear! He's okay!
Morrissey was discharged from the hospital on Sunday after collapsing on stage the day before due to difficulty breathing.
A spokeswoman for Great Western Hospital said, "Morrissey became unwell, and he was admitted overnight as a precautionary measure. He's been seen by the medical team, much improved and now discharged home."
He fell to the ground while singing his opening song, This Charming Man, at the Oasis Leisure Centre in Swindon, Wiltshire and was carried off stage by two band members.
Morrissey opened the show by saying "Good evening … probably" and appeared to be struggling to finish his first song and in great discomfort.
A witness said he began "coughing, and a couple of times clutched his shoulder and seemed to wince. Morrissey then dropped to his knees and two roadies rushed on stage," he added.
"I didn't think he looked particularly well but then again, he's well known as a reclusive character so I sort of thought that was just the way he was when he was on stage," said another fan at the show.
This isn't the first time he's had to reschedule a show due to illness!!!
Although most Morrissey fans may find this blasphemous, but is the 50-year old, former Smiths frontman too far past his prime?!

Perez bb, youre a day late and dollar short on this one. Old news…. Morrissey is still well enough to perform live. He still has the voice and the charisma to entice mass sing alongs at gigs. Ive seen his live countless times in the past 20yrs and he can still deliver!!! Theres NOT one singer currently around that can match SPM.

OMG-MORRISSEY WILL NEVER BE TO OLD TO PERFORM, HOW RUDE! He's awesome live. I've seen The Smiths a handfull of times, and Morrissey solo as well. He rules. It's one of those great surprises, where his music is sarcastic and somber-but, his stage antics are wild and unruly. I think maybe he just needs to up his protein intake-don't take that the wrong way. Sheila worships Morrissey!!!!!!!

In 1991 Neil Tennant of the Pet Shop Boys who were working with Bernard Sumner (of New Order) on a project called Electronic, told me a story about Morrissey throwing notes over Johnny Marr's fence begging him to get back together as The Smiths. Just a true story to share.
Maybe Mozz is not getting enough protein in that "Meat Is Murder" diet and that cause the "episode".
