The Vampire Diaries Are Taking Over

Looks like The CW has finally realized that Melrose Place isn't going anywhere but down.
The execs just fired Ashlee Simpson - they're guessing that might actually help increase the ratings.
And in an even better move, the network has now replaced the Wednesday repeats of Melrose Place with repeats of their hit show, The Vampire Diaries.
Starting this Wednesday, repeats of The Vampire Diaries will air through the month of November.
Great news for everyone as they'll get to enjoy their fav show twice.
As for Melrose Place, execs are hoping that with Heather Locklear's return in November the ratings will increase.
Our money is still on The Vampire Diaries making it big. Vampires mixed in with a bit of witchery is always a plus!

I still have a problem with the lead female. I just don't think she could have lived during the old ages….seriously isn't she suppose to be a fair blond. This chick looks like she's part native american or something oh and I don't like her acting either. I think she would fair off better on Smallville or Supernatural, but not this show. Ick bad casting choices on the CW lately. All the girls are starting to seem the same to me.
Other than that I think the story is good….just don't like the casting.

The reason gossip girl lost ALOT of viewers is because not many people could keep up since some of us have LIFES! If you agree please comment saying it? I want to get the point across that the CW doesn't do RE-RUNS!! And they should before every new season l, just to catch up the viewers. ABC family does it and they show the same crap! Look at Greek, it's still very much watch because they show reruns before the new season and on iTunes they do the "Greek cramp seassion" and of really helped me get caught up. So tell me if u agree, thanks:D

yes! i adore the Vampire Diaries, it ia way better than melrose place.
I like Heather and think that she is still beautiful but she won't help the ratings. It is not like the first time around in 1993. She lost her tv mojo along time ago.

Re: Scarybear094 – I completely agree. Re-runs would be amazing. Or completely take Melrose Place off the air and do re-runs of Vampire Diaries Tuesday night and re-runs of Gossip Girl Wednesday. I have a lab Monday night and can't watch it
CW's so stupid. They shouldn't have cancelled The Beautiful Life. The Vampire Diaries and TBL = best shows on CW. Melrose Place was a goner from the beginning.

I WILL SAY THAT NINA DOBREV, THE FEMALE LEAD, IS FABULOUS TO WORK WITH. SHE CAME TO THE NATION'S CAPITAL TO DO AN MOW AND IS VERY NATURAL, BOTH IN APPEARANCE AND PERFORMANCE. I'M SO HAPPY SHE IS DOING WELL.
I'm a big fan of this show. I tivo it every week and all of my roomies watch it together! This past episode was ridiculous (in a good way)! Damon is incredibly sexy…call me!

PS Melrose just got a lot worse by canceling Ashlee Simpson and the hot neighbor. The grey's anatomy/whore chick isn't enough to carry the show and neither is the teacher fiance…both not interesting enough. Come on writers!

Its exactly like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, much like that other show Eastwick is exactly like , oh what was that show on chanel 9 with those three witches that were sisters, Alyssa Milano and the other two….these new shows arent good. Cant Hollywood be more original?
