Kate Keeps Her Options Open, Renews Her Nursing License

Sounds like someone's playing it safe with a backup plan!
Kate Gosselin filed to renew her nursing license this week, which was set to expire on Halloween. Now, her license will be active until 2011.
Before the world knew all about Kate and her family, she was an RN at The Reading Hospital and Medical Center in Pennsylvania.
She's a smart cookie to have a Plan B, but we see TV in her future for at least a few more years!

I don't know of any hospitals that would hire her at this point, not because her skills are questionable but because it would make patient care difficult when all the patients were doing the "OMYGOD YOU'RE KATE GOSSELIN!" thing. She needs to wait a few years and let that crap die down.
The only way this obnoxious bitch could make it in the movies is if she appeared in a low budget slasher movie, and was one of the first to die at the hands of a chainsaw killer. I worked at the Reading Hospital this summer, and some of my coworkers actually remembered Kate…apparently no one really liked her. lol.

Good for her, realistically I do not think many places would hire her with the kind of attention she is getting it would interfere to much. But if I were her I might try to open a nurse related business. She was a nurse but was grossed out by everything. In one episode she was grossed out when Jon told her he got a splinter out of one of the boys' fingers. In the early episodes (when I thought the show was cute and not horrifying), Jon would put the kids on and off the potty and clean the potties out. She would be grossed out.
I guess it is easier to sit at a nurse's desk and delegate an LPN or Orderly to clean rather than do the dirty work yourself.
She always said she'd go back if she had to. Good for her!

I did not know she was an RN (I've never watched their show but am aware of them). Absolutely very smart to renew her license-just in case perhaps, but perhap it is a point of pride-she must have worked hard for that nursing degree which is no piece of cake to attain.
If she goes back to RHMC, I have a feeling St. Joe's Hospital in Reading is going to get a lot more business. Seeing Jon and Kate around always ruins my day, except when Jon is buying rounds at the bar!
