Leona Does Good
Leona Lewis is asking for your help.
The British singer has teamed up with the World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA) to help spread the word against animal suffering.
The WSPA is "the world’s largest alliance of animal welfare organizations," with over 1,000 animal welfare groups in about 150 countries.
And to help out with her part, the cutie has just released a video to support the good cause.
Leona even brought along her family's dog, Misty, for the photo shoot. Too cute!
Lewis says:
"I wanted to get involved with the World Society for the Protection of Animals because I think they are doing great campaigns. I've always been a huge advocate for any charities that are trying to help animals, because they are trying to change laws to protect animals - which I think is amazing. I support the World Society for the Protection of Animals - WSPA - because they are trying to end some of the most appalling acts of animal cruelty in the world.
One reason animals are so vulnerable to cruelty is because there is no universal agreement between nations that animals can suffer and feel pain… The campaign for a Universal Declaration on Animal Welfare could be the beginning of the end for animal cruelty across the world. It's up to us to give these animals a voice, and put a stop to cruelty and neglect, right now."

She smart very intelligent girl because animals needs protection the mean peoples.
First!?
Yay Leona!
I applaud her being a spokeswomen. I support laws against whaling (shame on you Japan) and obviously endangered species lists etc., but when it comes to animal experimentation I imagine this group has a zero tolerance policy.
Animal testing is necessary for various drugs and treatments and if some rabbits or mice die in the process of finding a cure for say pediatric cancers than so be it. Medical testing should and is done with ethical standards.
How refreshing to see a celebrity actually caring about something other than themselves. Leona is simply lovely.
There are children dying of hunger/Aids/Cancer every day.
Thank you for posting this.. Animals DO need help!
I Love Leona Lewis!
i
hopefully people will listen to her. maybe she can even reach minorities as well
Now she's gonna get punched in the face again.
AMAZING!!! GOOD FOR HER. YET ANOTHER REASON TO LOVE HER!!!!
Is she spayed or neutered?
I'm so glad it's not PETA. I am all for supporting organizations against animal cruelty, but did you know PETA is psychotic? They don't believe humans should have any contact with animals. Like, it's cruel to ride horses. I enjoy riding horses and they don't seem to be suffering for it.
That is part of their job, business as usual, charity so the fans will love and buy her albums .
Every artist does that, do they believe in it?
We don't know, they are paid to promote the charity.
Business as usual.
i'm glad she didn't join Peta. I would have lost so much respect for her if she did.
Re: alemeh2 – You do know she is a vegetarian right? This makes me want to go veggie.
Re: alemeh2 – i agree that celebs link with charities for the celeb's benefit. however, those that go for supporting animal welfare are not doing it for their own publicity, i believe. there is a difference between jessica simpson's 'smile for children' campaign or whatever it is and those celebs that have compassion for animals. it's not the norm to align with an animal charity. story short-i believe she actually supports this charity and the well being of animals.
they matter cause every time i see her she reminds me of the lion kings simba not that there is anything wrong with that great singer though
This woman is a real star her heart is as big as her talent. Leona definitely cares for animals, famous or not she would be doing her bit for them. What a wonderful inspiration for her millions of fans! Love ya girl!
