Bruce Springsteen canceled his Kansas City show last night after announcing a death in the family via his website.

Lenny Sullivan, Bruce's cousin and assistant tour manager of 10 years, was found dead in his hotel room and the situation is currently being investigated.

Sad, sad.

He cancelled the concert only ONE HOUR before performance AND there were some people that came from Alaska just to see him and to make it in the lottery. 2 girls apparently saved up their money, flew to kc, AND were number 20, which means that they would have been up at the stage. Seriously, Bruce Springsteen has lots of fans, he should have still performed but he could have told the audience what had happened.

Patti Scialfa roped the Boss while he was still married, then quickly got pregnant by him.

I love the Boss, but I'm not so fond of Patti.

Mario I email this to you before the other people were reporting. I was there. He cancelled 45 minutes before the show. His cousin died on the Country Club Plaza a very swanky place. People as far away as Canada was there. But we all understood. We rock out in courtyard to his music. Very sad! They are still here in town. Everyone were given refunds. Bruce thanked our City and said they would be back! Now that' going to be hard.

I'm appalled that you can be angry with Bruce. I think it is honorable that he canceled the concert - shows he isn't all about the money. This only happened hours before the concert. I grew up with Lenny and Bruce was very close with him. You need to respect that he had a death in his family and back off. You should be grateful that you are alive and able to attend a concert and not be so damn selfish.

I had a friend was a big baseball player
      Back in high school
He could throw that speedball by you
Make you look like a fool boy
Saw him the other night at this roadside bar
I was walking in, he was walking out
We went back inside sat down had a few drinks
But all he kept talking about was
Glory days well they'll pass you by

Glory days in the wink of a young girl's eye
      Glory days, glory days
Well there's a girl that lives up the block
Back in school she could turn all the boy's heads
Sometimes on a friday i'll stop by
And have a few drinks after she put her kids to bed
Her and her husband bobby well they split up
I guess it's two years gone by now
We just sit around talking about the old times,
She says when she feels like crying
      She starts laughing thinking about
My old man worked 20 years on the line
      And they let him go
Now everywhere he goes out looking for work
They just tell him that he's too old
I was 9 nine years old and he was working at the
      Metuchen ford plant assembly line
Now he just sits on a stool down at the legion hall
But i can tell what's on his mind
      Glory days yeah goin back
Glory days aw he ain't never had
      Glory days, glory days
Now i think i'm going down to the well tonight
And i'm going to drink till i get my fill
And i hope when i get old i don't sit around thinking about it
      But i probably will
Yeah, just sitting back trying to recapture
A little of the glory of, well time slips away
And leaves you with nothing mister but
      Boring stories of glory days

I used to love his music. I can no longer go to his concert because I do NOT want to hear his political views. It's like-shut the heck up and sing that is what we paid for.

Very sad, I wish them all the strenght and love to get thru such sad times.
Horrible, to lose someone so young.
