Mamma Mia Minus ABBA?

Then what is the point?
We reported recently that some of the cast members are eager to return to the sequel of Mamma Mia, provided that the catchy tunes of ABBA were involved.
Now, we are hearing that we will most likely be getting Mamma Mia 2 but WITHOUT the sweet sounds from Sweden. Recently, Benny Andersson, the man behind ABBA's biggest hits, insisted there would be no more ABBA musicals.
“Catherine Johnson [‘Mamma Mia!’ screenwriter] is keen on working on something that has to do with her characters in the ‘Mamma Mia!’ movie – but it will not be with Abba music.”
Again we ask: THEN WHAT'S THE POINT???
How can you change musical inspirations for the sequel? That seems kind of lame to us!
However, if they are really going to do this, we're banking on either Donna Summer or Dolly Parton music to supply the soundtrack. We want to see Meryl Streep belt out some I Will Always Love You or Bad Girl!

Obviously Charlie Day should write the Mamma Mia! sequel's musical numbers.
Here is a tip: SCRATCH ALL THOUGHTS OF WHATEVER YOU'RE THINKING WITH THE MAMMA MIA BUNCH! I clicked off the movie not ten minutes into it! A bunch of has-beens. ARE YOU ALL DRUNK OUT OF YOUR MINDS?!!?
I get really annoyed with you not knowing your crap. It's "Bad Girls" not "Bad Girl." Sounds minute but the whole point of the song is about prostitutes.

It's just us Americans that have introduced this horrible evil paper in order to make it more difficult for the rest of the world.
I would def think it would be missing something without Abba.

Where do you get your Donna Summer and Dolly Parton theories from? The nail should be put in the coffin that was the idea for this movie ASAP.
If Pierce Brosnan tries to sing again, it will not matter whether they use ABBA songs, or not.
He was embarrassingly, uncomfortably AWFUL.
the abba songs are a big part of why I enjoyed the first movie!!

I think they already burned all the ABBA classics in the first movie. So…Some music from Donna Summer, Diana Ross, Village People, Earth Wind & Fire Music or Chic will be fantastic to listen in their sequel !!!!
