Phantom of the Opera 2 Casting Update!
At least,we don't have to worry about Nicole Scherzinger from the Pussycat Dolls effing this up!
Ramin Karimloo and Sierra Boggess have been cast as The Phantom and Christine Daaé in the London premiere of Love Never Dies (aka Phantom of the Opera 2 ), in which the main characters move forward a decade and transfer to a different continent.
Sierra was handpicked by theatrical gods Andrew Lloyd Webber and Hal Prince in 2005 to play Christine in Phantom – The Las Vegas Spectacular, but recently made her Broadway debut as Ariel in The Little Mermaid. She received both Drama League and Drama Desk nominations for her performance.
Ramin has had the opportunity to play all of Christine's loves - playing The Phantom in the original London production for two years, a stint as Raoul in the same production and cast as the ingenue's father in the 2004 feature film adaptation.
Congrats you two!
